Dear Supporter

Welcome home.

What a journey it has been.

Eighteen years ago we embarked on what has been a monumental and, at times – I don’t mind saying – almost overwhelming, task. The financial, operational, logistical, planning and resourcing it has taken has been immense. There is a reason massive projects like this are seldom undertaken by private entities, particularly ones of our modest size.

Great. 18 years in the making.

I see he has confirmed what some of us have been saying since August: that they were ready to start playing in an unfinished but approved stadium in September, until the safety systems screw-up.

So who cried whist reading that. Am I the only emotional bugger here? I love this club. COYS.

We’ve achieved this as a team, together. Thank you Spurs family. We are now all back home.

A truly remarkable post by a visionary. I have always had tremendous admiration for him as a business leader, but to understand the long drawn out committed journey they have gone through makes me all the more grateful, considering what this glorious club means to me.

Thank you Daniel.

Am I getting old?!? Every time I read that post I have to contain tears. Specially that last sentence "we are now all back home".

Its extraordinary how much sport impacts people's lives and how it can influence minds. Really well done Daniel Levy and Tottenham Hotspur - thank you very much indeed.

Its laughable that some people still jump all over Levy and have nothing but contempt for the man.

Levy has been super for this club , our development teams training facilities stadium sponsorships management appointment he really has done a fantastic job pulling this club up. Some might say he hasn’t invested much in the squad I personally feel once the stadiums open we enter another chapter in the story and we will increase squad investment/ wages .

Well done Mr Levy

Achievements since Levy took over
-financial stability
-bar oil barons, we have spent a lot
-lots of managers
-lots of players
-team stability - stopped being a feeder club
-managerial stability - trust in plans
-better player acquisition
-better player management
-the training ground
-the academy
-the stadium
-regular European football
-more hate towards our club cos we are on the up
-loyalty from manager and players wanting to stay at the club

An 18 year journey... Now we step up, and I genuinely believe we will.

The Academy! The youth system. Raising our own international-class players wholesale. Populating the England team with multiple players from Spurs' youth system and other young acqusiitions.

Beautiful stuff from Levy. Clearly his own writing too, as it wasn't the usual polished corporate PR stuff we've come to expect from Spurs, which makes it count even more. If we ever have statues around the club, he should certainly be on the list one day.

Perfectly pitched letter. Well done to all, an incredible achievement. Relocating 80 businesses alone is a colossal undertaking nevermind everything else.

I've just built a small house. The complexity was a nightmare: Planning Permission, Building Control, Sourcing, Safety, Drainage, foundations. There was a 1000 things I didn't envisage, and of course it cost more than planned. Knocking down and building a stadium in the middle of Tottenham....whilst keeping the wheels (of the football team) rolling is an incredible achievement.

I was fortunate to be there last night - the opening ceremony was good (not too showy and rooted in the community). It was genuinely a moment to be proud.

I have watched a lot of people throw stones at Levy on this site and elsewhere - these people don't know how good it is to be a Spurs supporter now. Ill be disappointed if he is not recognised in a new year honours list. He is a beacon to all of us. Vision, determinatio, financial management - and yet never a sense of self-aggrandisement.

Pochettino of course has managed the other side of the equation brilliantly.

Brilliant.

I think this bit

Unlike any developer, we are not here to develop, take a profit and leave – we are here for the long-term. This is our home.

may give some folks a twitch.
