Kudos to Roman, TBH. Sacked Lampard early, replace him with Tuchel early, secured a top 4 and still can win the fucking CL.
Absolutely this. Saw the opportunity and went and pick up what appears to be a very good manager.
There were some really insightful interviews on 5live this afternoon, talking about his character, coaching and approach.

On the flip side, we sacked our manager at a bizarre time (too late, a week early?) without a manager to move on to.

Say what you want about them but Chelsea have dared more than we have in recent years. They actually go for it rather than tip toe around. Our motto is a lie.
you can dare as much as you like when you have no financial constraints

Fair play to this ref for being emotional. Should be truly proud of himself.

First time in years I can categorically state that a referee had a fantastic game.

Unlike Steve “must be a penalty because lots of players protested” McManaman. The ****.

I'm asking for Conte because the guy is a proven winner. I couldn't give a rats arse to be honest if he struggles in Europe, the guy has won trophies in multiple countries.

Fair enough. Never doubted his ability and record with winning domestic league titles, just wanted to add a slight * to the European competitions part of his achievements.

This is where football is at.

You only "dare" by spending the billions stolen from others.

And we all want to be on the side of those doing the thieving.

Depressing.

There’s definitely something to be said for a ‘winning culture’ being built through over a decade of buying anyone who wins anything throughout Europe, manager or player.

If Manchester City wants to win the Champions League they need to sack Pep Guardiola, that’s the truth. They will never win it when he’s the manager

I promise you Poch would win it if he had that squad
You're still not over Poch, then.

This. Villarreal were brilliant in their low block against United because they actively pressed the ball when United tried to play passes into Bruno etc. We just watched as teams played it around us

It's because our midfielders aren't disciplined. Hojbjerg hunts the ball, and by doing so leaves acres of space behind himself. NDombele just switches off. Winks is the most disciplined of our midfielders, but he simply isn't good enough (or rather suited enough) to play the role to the level we require. Sissoko is a combination of NDombele and Hojbjerg. Lo Celso also switches off and lets runners past him. Not sure any of them can have this coached out of them either......

Yeah I thought ref was excellent, because I barely noticed him.

I hate the pair of them, but Chelsea winning is more palatable than City. I hate the sky blue oil ****s more than the dark blue oil ****s.

What annoys me is why we continually shit the bed in finals, it doesn't matter what we do, we never turn up.

Chelsea always turn up in the finals, and you can't say it's just an investment thing.

I genuinely think it's to do with the culture of the clubs. Chelsea have a culture of winning and not accepting second best throughout the club and it comes from the leadership down.

We just seem happy to have our day out, and seem to just not even compete properly.

It happens time and time again. You just imagine Levy walking around the canteen going enjoy the day guys, give it your best shot, whereas Roman is like you ****s better win or else.

Now I've got Chelsea fans all over the streets outside the house shouting 'we fucking hate tottenham, we are champions of Europe'.

I mean, they did just lose an FA Cup final putting in a very poor performance, but I understand where you're coming from.

His PSG ain't too bad, but still couldn't win the Ligue 1 title.

Just saying.

It wasn’t his fault. The club was a mess when he got there and wasn’t top of the league + they had a lot of injuries. It’s unfair to judge him based on that

I think no one in the Spurs camp, the club officials, the squad, the fans, had any idea how that final went. It seemed to just blink and its over, we lost. Too dazzled perhaps by the grandeur of reaching the final that no one were prepared to put in their best.

My 2 cents.

Tonight Man City looked a bit like we did against Liverpool in that the occasion was too big for them and they couldn’t live up to it.

isn't building a massive stadium to dare? it certainly isn't resting on one's laurels.

I don’t think it’s a case of having indiscipline coached out of them, more the fact we need someone to come in and coach a disciplined mindset in regards to pressing in to these players. Think mourinho took for granted that the players knew when to press the ball, when to react to their teammates pressing etc

Many will disagree with me but I would much rather Poch, he’s the better manager

Do you think Pep could get us to a CL final with a finished Rose, dead Trippier, finished Wanyama, Winks & Sissoko midfield and without Kane? Let me answer for you, he wouldn’t
