Champions League - 2017/18

I'd rather play the highest profile teams in Europe. It's just more fun, win or lose.

Bring on Bayern or Juventus.
If we keep advancing we’re going to play them anyway. I’ll take the easiest possible draw. If Monaco, Dortmund and Athletico can all make deep runs in the Champions League so can we. I’ll take Porto please.

The one team I'm really quite worried about down the road is PSG, they look incredibly dangerous. Plus fuck their latest attempt to buy football. I'd like them to draw Juve or Madrid and hopefully go out.

So far, Bayern, Basel and Juventus are officially possible opposition in next round. Sadly, Roma, beat Chelsea to the top spot in their group.

Think Chelsea in second is good news.

We want them knocked out ASAP. Think we'd find it tough to beat them over two legs later on in the competition if it came down to it.

I'm not so sure. I'm not really impressed with them this season, and I fully believe if would have been down to our own confidence/mindset, if it were to be.

It's funny really I just get the feeling we can beat any foreign team right now but when we come up against a PL side it's going to feel different and we'll have to overcome our away demons. Just don't fancy us at OT, Anfield, Stamford Bridge etc. I'd rather all the other English teams are out as soon as possible but chances are if we keep progressing we'll come across one eventually.

Yeah, on general basis I'd love for all the giants to fight against each other and eliminate one another. I'm cynical like that, I wouldn't mind other teams having to deal with the best giants. I think the glory from this stage onwards is about going far, not about who we play.

I’m not so sure, gives us a higher probability of drawing Bayern / Juve in the last 16...

Though in a perfect world we’d beat Bayern Just for the banter with Arsenal fans

As it stands today, we will face one of Basel (20), Bayern Munich (4), *Juventus (5), *Sevilla (7), *Shakhtar Donetsk (16) or *Porto (12).

We shouldn't fear anyone after taking 4 points off the reigning double champions. Bring it on.

When is the draw for the next round?

Not every top team has a woeful defence like madrid. We should look to avoid teams like bayern atm. I feel we match up well with any italian team so dont fear juve.

Worst case scenario is getting someone shit and still going out. The basel EL quarter final from few years ago still haunts me.

Would like to avoid any of the giants to match our quarter final appearance from the other year. After that, fuck it, bring on anyone!

Juve would be far harder to break down than Bayern. I know they were slightly under strength, but celtic should have put 5 past them

Agree. I don’t want either of them, but if a crap but stubborn PL can restrict us to just a few chances then Juve will have no problems.

The last thing we want is an Italian team imo.
