The draw for the round of the last 16 is tomorrow. As winners of group A, the following teams will be in the bowl for us. What should we hope for?

Lyon - vast experience, but have been better
Valencia - good technical side finished third in La Liga last season
FC København - very well organised, but February is winter break to them
Roma - Runners up to Inter last season and a very good passing side
Marseille - The French Champions
AC Milan - reborn this season and cruising in Serie A

We'd be favourites to beat FC København (the only other new team in the last 16) as their season still hasn't restarted in February, and logically we should hope to play them.
Given the risk of underestimating the Danish side (and the risk of humiliation galore) I would, however, prefer Lyon or Roma.
Roll on tomorrow...

we can't draw Arsenal, they're from the same national association.

I think we can beat any of those teams so it'd be more fun taking on and winning against a bigger name like Roma or Milan.
Valencia might be tough but it'd be handy for me as it's just a few hours from Barcelona where I live!

AC Milan. Purely because a mate of mine is a huge fan and always takes the piss outta me supporting spurs. I would love to smash them.

Roma

One of my cousins is a Roma fan and all his friends pretty much a huge fans and go to all the home matches, I think we could easily get past them (well not easily but it's the type of slow paced team I believe we would put to the sword at the Lane) and would be a nice away trip for me on the cheap as I could stay with my aunt in Rome so just need flights and a put of booze money

I dont fancy Milan at this stage, purley cos i actually think we can go all the way in this, and Milan would be the biggest threat at this stage. We can beat anyone at home though so i say bring on who ever, none will want to be playing us right now. If i had to choose though, id settle for Lyon, expierenced but no where near as good as they have been in the past.

I predict we'll get Valencia and it will be another goal fest. I just hope we get the home game in the 2nd leg whoever we play. I fancy us to go to either away game and keep it tight, especially if we have King and Dawson in defence. Then bring it back to our house where we can beat anybody on our day.

Valenica and Lyon are the biggest banana skins, neither are real glamour ties (in the way Milan would be) and both a very tricky.

Seeing as we have won all our home games and failed to win away thus far I don't think we should under estimate just how important winning our group really was, had we been runners up not only would we have surrendered home advantage but also no doubt faced a top top side (raise your glasses to Weder Bremen)

I'd like Copenhagen, as I think they're the weakest of the six teams we could possibly face.

Failing that, Lyon.

We played Roma a few seasons ago as the last pre-season match before the season started and tonked them 5-1. They were behind in their preparation but nevertheless looked decidely slow.

5-0 actually. Bentley scored a couple of longshots. It was the pre-season before the 2 points 8 games season. The same pre-season Bent scored like 2 goals a game.
