Thought it might be useful to have a thread. If there's another place for this, mods please merge.

Watching Standard Liege vs. Zenit right now.

Obviouslt there's the AVB ties, but I'm watching because of the talent from Standard Liege.

Guys to watch:

Geoffrey Mujanga Bia : 25 years old, winger. Goal scorer.

Tony Watt: 20 years old, striker.

Paul-Jose Mpoku: 22 years old, winger. Good all around player.

Ah, Mpoku...used to play for us. He had a decent loan at Orient with Kane I think. I think he wanted to go back to Belgium so we let him go.

Yeah, came through the youth setup a few years back. He's turned into a quality little player, albeit in the Jupiler Pro League.

Haha, Man Utd are losing to MK Dons.
Make it 2-0 with no subs lefts I believe. They maybe should have gone strong against the Dons to breed greater confidence in the system and each other. I would love to see a "Club in Crisis" headline tomorrow.

Celtic lost at home.... and are out.... Some justice there.

they had a lifeline, and they blew it.

Celtic got what they deserved. I know money and all that but Celtic have a proud history and should have declined their reinstatement.

Even if they had, Legia would not have been put through. They broke the rules, so what if the player only played 1 minute, if you let that off it sets a precedent.

if they had scored another goal in the first leg they would have gone through 5-4. The match was give as a 3-0 win to celtic due to the unregistered player, and they got through via the away goal rule (4-4 after 2 matches).

little margins, not sure what would happen if Legia won the first match 5-1. but Celtic had he luck. and they blew it.
