1 team playing football 1 team playing anti football.

Bojans disallowed goal the ball hit Keitas chest. the referee has robbed Barca. the defender kick thbe ball it hits keita in the chest. he controls it Bojan scores. the referee is 3 yards away and should have overuled the linesman who was miles away.

ibrahimovic is a class a donkey who doesnt fit a 4-3-3

1 team attacking patiently and diligently another team, unfairly down to 10 men, defending superbly, skilfully and bravely.

How can you claim that Barca were robbed when they had 60 minutes to score 2 goals against a team unfairly down to 10?

Well done Inter, well done Mourinho, the team who deserved to go through went through.

The valdes reaction at the end and barca turning on the sprinklers where inter celebrated was shameful and devoid of class...glad they are out...

I'm really happy about the result. I got 500vee on BM @ 28/1 who I think have more chance to beat Inter than Barcelona.

I don't particularly like Figo but he is part of Inter's backroom staff, he always sits on the bench and I doubt Jose would have said to him 'I sink you better not come to this game'.
Barca and Inter are my European sides but I did want Barca to go through as they play the best football. However, they did their job at the Guiseppe Meazza and it was then up to Barca to break them down last night and they just couldn't do it. Getting Eto'o to put in the defensive shift that he did last night shows just how much respect players have for Jose, they will run through brick walls for him. Lucio is also probably one of the best bits of transfer business Inter have ever done, £6mill is an absolute bargain.

So now Mourinho is being told who he can and cannot have on the bench as well as not celebrate. Classic.

LOL, of course he should celebrate. He just beat, argueable, the best team ever assembled.

And I'm not sure why people are surprised at being defensive, against Barca, it is the only way to play.

And whilst Mourinho's teams aren't exactly renound for their attacking flair, they do ground out wins, and thats all he'll be remembered for and probably why he is the best manager in the world.

I'm quite amazed of peoples opinions on here......even though it's easy to realize it all is about jealousy and poor knowledge.

Last year Chelsea was lifted to the skies for not trying to play football and behaving like swines. This year it's a non-classy Mourinho and Inter for time wasting from minute 1. Yes, Barca used the fact that Motta was stupid enough to shove his hand into Busquets face when already having a yellow. What teams doesn't do this..? We may not like it but it's fact. But no one mentioned every dive Militio did do steal time etc. Not once was this mentioned. It's always "the little shit" Alves etc when Barca is playing. It get's so pathetic, narrow minded and petty when chosing one player and saying that he does all the cheating just because it suits your agenda.

I would understand the hate towards Barca if the team was full of Drogba's, Eboue's etc and a complaining Wenger but that isn't the fact.

It's kinda fun to see so clearly who let's Barca's superiority (even Eto'o said it after the game) get to them and make them childishly jealous and bitter.

Well, well.....to bad that 2 finals (champs and FA) have gone down the drain and become totally uninteresting, both when it comes to the teams and the football they stand for. Bayern excluded though, but who gives a shit about teams from Germany.

What comes next.......Germany and Italy playing the final in the World Cup :shifty:

Have to hand it to Inter and Mourinho. They did what they had to do over the two legs to beat Barca. Inter got the important 3rd goal at the San Siro and then to have the concentration over 90 mins to soak up pressure and not give away a penalty ( I don't even remember a close call for one) against the best attacking team in football and with an influential Barca crowd is pretty good achievement.

Even though I love watching Barca I do like teams to win the CL that have never done it before or not for a long time so for a name like Inter I think its about time they did it again.

Its not the defending that was the problem. They had every right to defend for their lives because they had a 2 goal advantage. But it was the constant stop-start gameplan that annoyed me. Everytime a Barca player put pressure on Inter, they threw themselves to the ground. They feined injuries to waste time. All this was done in order to stop Barca building up a head of steam. Worst of all, the ref fell for it.

Those are the Mourinho tactics I can't stand. Some will call it gamesmanship. I would call it unsporting behaviour, unfitting of the occassion. The same goes for Busquets, who went over the top with the hand to the face. It's a shame really, because thats not what Barca are about. Both players should've been booked in that incident, but that would've resulted in a red for Motta anyway.

Overall it was a horrible game. The ref had a poor game which didn't help. It's a shame really, because Inter totally outplayed Barca in the 1st leg, and had they repeated that performance last night, I would have no complaints. But they didn't, and they took the gloss away from their 1st leg performance with their antics last night.

Anyways, i'll be cheering Bayern on in the final. Arjen Robben for player of the tournament!

I watched Ronnie O'Sullivan get beat, instead of this game :)

But the bolded bit, for the last few years, I've seen Barca players diving or using 'gamemansship' a lot, it is what they are about.

Don't be such an idiot Michey, that is not describing the team at all....

If you read up, I say that the current Barca team, is argueably the greatest team ever assembled.

I was pointing out that Barca players dive around as much though, not wearing rose tinted specs. Last years semi finals, all I saw was 90 mins of fucking diving by a group of players, it was embarrassing to watch.

I agree with all this, especially the bit in bold. I don't know if people remember the UEFA Cup final in 2003 between Mourinho's Porto and Celtic, it was exactly the same, the amount of play acting and diving that went on in that game was a disgrace. It just seems to be his way - ugly but effective, breaks the game up, and knocks other teams out of their stride.

Is anyone actually surprised that Mourinho's teams do this?

I don't ever recall a team of his that doesn't do this, it's certainly effective though, but frustrating when it's against your team.

There are a couple of Barca players like that. Not many though. The only 2 that do that are Busquets and Alves. That can't really be helped much though. Mosts clubs have players like that. But with Barca, the class far outweighs it. Football comes first with Barca and that's what I love about them.

I understand Barca have done their share of gamesmanship in the past, but not constantly in the same way as Inter last night. The semi-final last year for example, both Chelsea and Barca were as guilty as one another for it. But you only have to look at how much possession Barca had in that game to see that football came first for them.

Had Chelsea not pulled those tactics on Barca, then there wouldn't have been as many fouls in the game as there were. Barca get frustrated with those tactics, and they do respond to them at times. I don't agree with it, and I do wish they would just get on with it. And to be fair, most of them do (Toure, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi...).

But the likes of Alves and Busquests get caught up in the moment and its a shame because Barca don't need to resort to those tactics. I think they just think "well, if they're going to do it to us, then we'll give them a taste of their own medicine".

Don;t get me wrong Milly, Drogba was just as bad in that semi!!

I just don;t give a fuck about either team, footballing purist or not, the team that won over two legs deserves to go through, no matter how well or bad they played.

But, I still maintain it is pretty much the only way you can stop a team like Barca.
