This is exactly the reason we need to be trying to win domestic trophies
To shove it down the throats of other clubs? Fuck that. You win for the club and win for the fans. Fuck what other clubs say about us.

so they can't shove anything down OUR Throats every single season.

A nothing club who we shouldn't be paying any attention to.

Are you serious?
It's 2018, not 1978, you do realise that, right?

Thing is, other teams whether it's rivals or not, love to dig at us because of how much we're overachieving, in terms of quality on the pitch and league standings. The 'big boys' love to because they feel we're 'invading' and they want us to 'drop down to where we belong' and the 'smaller' teams love to because they can only wish their team were doing what we are right now, because we're the team who aren't really supposed to be up there when you look at finances and such.

I don't mean to sound bigheaded but that's just how I've seen it. I never really care much anymore when clubs go out of their way like that. They will always try and detract from the reality that we should be proud of how far we've come as a club.

Well clearly we were expecting to open the stadium in September, it was just bad luck that it wasn't the case. There was nothing wrong with the PR we put in for this, it was just unfortunate the hiccups we have suffered in terms of the opening of the stadium and also the team under performing in the group stages.

You say unfortunate. I say don't crow till you're there. If a stadium delay is "completely understandable" as so many people say, then you should prepare for that. People can't have it all ways.

It reeks of arrogance, sorry. Spurs, the club that always tries to run before it can walk. I have no defence to fans ripping us for that.

I think it's got more to do with the fact that in 2018, most of our fans still act like we are bigger than Chelsea, Arsenal and City.
This despite the fact they've all, each one of them, won more in the last 20 years than we have altogether really. City might be a little behind but it won't be long before they catch up.

I get sick of hearing people talking Chelsea down as irrelevant. They are perennial winners now, more so than we ever were or likely ever will be. I can't stand them but I do recognise what's in front of me. A team that's 2nd only to Man United (who had no competition for 10 years almost) in terms of Premier League title wins.

Spurs have won 2 titles, none in the premier league, or even semi modern era.

Arsenal have won 13 titles - 3 in the Premier League.
Chelsea have won 6 titles - 5 in the Premier League
City Have won 5 titles - 3 in the Premier League

Spurs have 8 FA Cups
Arsenal 13
Chelsea 8
Man City 5

Spurs have 2 Uefa Cups and 1 CWC

Arsenal have 1 CWC :ROFLMAO:
Chelsea have 1 Champions League, 1 Europa League, 2 CWC's and 1 Super Cup
Even City have a CWC

This belief that we're somehow bigger and better is what leads to other clubs giving us stick. We have done NOTHING since 1991.
And an FA Cup isn't what it used to be either.
Liverpool haven't won a title in nearly 30 years but they have won a shit ton more than we have.
Yet we, as a fan base, try to belittle every one whilst winning feck all.

Perhaps if we stopped that bollocks and the club stopped trying so hard to come across as big boys, we might get left alone.

Fans rip into other teams about anything, if it wasn't about this then it'll be about something else.

Arrogance is far too strong a word, the club were clearly very confident of the stadium being done by September otherwise this wouldn't have been advertised, as I say it was just unfortunate that the problems with the stadium occurred. I think you're being far too harsh on us.

If you get butt hurt over this after those ads we ran, you've got some pretty thin skin.

I have the unfortunate pleasure of being mates with a Chelsea fan at work.....I know. He decided to attend their glamour tie at home to Bate Borisov last night and has this morning sent me a picture from the programme which he found funny.

Is it just me or is this laughably pathetic from Chelsea? Appreciate that this is a fansbet advert but it's still been approved by the club to be put in their matchday programme. It just smacks of desperately trying to reaffirm their "status" as being a bigger club than Spurs. I get the feeling Chelsea are a little insecure these days.

I reminded my mate that the quote is from 2014 when Poch's tenure began and to be fair by the time we got to 2015/16 season we were nearly winning the league whilst they were finishing 10th.
You are a bit too thin skinned. What part of that isn't true? If the roles were reversed you would most likely find it amusing and clever. We dish it out so stop crying when it is levelled back at us.

As much as the truth hurts, all of this is pretty much spot on.

Doubt it, hence they've put asterisks in his name.

Still pretty classless, but that's the norm for Chelsea.

Strange, but I didn't hear much banter' coming from them after the last time we played them. Stuff like this just proves what a sorry bunch of wankers they really are. GOD I hate them.

Any more underhand than currency trader? Or crap electronics wholesaler? Or whatever Irving Scholar did to make his fortunes?

How many people have been murdered in the history of electronics wholesaling? Of course it's more underhanded ffs. People are starved, tortured and murdered to fatten the wallets of these oligarchs. Surely you don't really think they're comparable?

It was tongue in cheek, although I doubt any of our owners have been squeeky clean.

People get too touchy at banter nowadays I think, that stadium poster drew so many complaints and some of our fans were totally embarrassed at the club but honestly so what, if you cant take a bit of social media ribbing then football isn't the sport for you. It was the same thing when Kane claimed that goal, some of our fans were really embarrassed at Kane trying to claim it and had a go at him, it's 2018, you need to get with the times. EVERY club takes a ribbing at some point, it's just how it is - just laugh and move on.

Look we put up posters saying the new stadium was the only place in London to watch CL

So fair game as far as I'm concerned... No matter how much we despise what's in the programme etc
