The death of Ugo has put a completely complexion on this game for me, I was really confident and looking forward to the game until yesterday. I'm just not sure anymore whether the boys will react positively i.e. "lets win this for Ugo" or in a negative way "other things are more important than football"

I really hope it's the former, because I think this game is so pivotal not only to the rest of the season, but for the next 3 or 4 years.

I know what you mean but I think it could focus them even more and I think it will be more of the 'let's win this for Ugo' mentality. That's definitely the response he would have wanted himself :(

Onomah has already tweeted about doing it for Ugo.

Let's hope it brings them all together. I think it will. Besides they won't be thinking about it during the 90 minutes.

Random, pointless, straw clutching stat time

1st have met 2nd only 3 times before in the FA cup semi finals

Second have won twice so history is on our side :cautious:

Winning this game today could totally transform this team. The confidence it'll give to Pochettino and the players would be absolutely massive.
Nervous as well as confident about this game.
This team is something special and if we turn up and play to our capabilities we will beat Chelsea.

:pompous:Sport round up on Absolute Radio. "Chelsea face Spurs today in their pursuit of the Double"

then the next guy just said something about "Two Saturdays in a row, like Aaron Ramsey". He obviously meant Wheelchair.

I've loved the build up this week. I've loved the mind games, the media focus, the feeling that this is the biggest match of the season, between the best teams, the most bitter rivalry.

For years, I looked on at those mega United v Arsenal games, or later United v Chelsea or Liverpool. The intensity, the feeling like the world was watching, and how we never had that in the PL era.

Well, it's here now, and FFS I just hope, win or lose, the lads do themselves justice today.

I feel the same. Before the horrible news about Ugo my main concern was the match officials.

Hopefully the ref will want to put right his disasterous performance the last time we played the chavs in the cup semi final. He was disgraceful.
