anyone else going and has anyone any antepost tips ?

going this year to Tattersalls on the Tues and Best Mate on the Wed - with about 15 - 20 other Irish blokes and birds , will be very messy

So far i have just done a £ 20 Lucky 15 on My Tent Or Yours, Hurricane Fly, Dynaste and Bobs Worth

I'm going with a few mates on the Tuesday in the Best mate enclosure!

So far I've done a £2.50 trixie on Dodging Bullets, Quevega and Boston Bob, a £30 single on Sir Des Champs and a £25 single on Sprinter Sacre.

I also did a £25 treble on Sprinter, Quevega and Big Bucks, only for news of the Big Bucks injury to come out 3 days later. Gutted!

Can't wait for it. Just hoping we don't get much more rain beforehand because a few of my picks (especially SDC) need the good ground.

I still havent made it to the Festival, for one reason or another, but was there at Trials day back in January.

All of the trials and races which have been run since christmas have been on softer ground that we'll probably have come March so all of that form maybe pretty worthless.
With that in mind I've only had one small e/w yankee ante-post this year -
X country - Outlaw Pete 10/1
World Hurdle - Grand Crus 14/1
Ryanair - Sizing Europe 10/1
Bumper - Golantilla 7/1

Think I can probably write Grand Crus off, and am hoping HDB decides against taking on Sprinter Sacre with Sizing Europe and goes for the Ryanair.

the 3.25 at Doncaster today looks an above average race for a Wednesday with arguably 4 or 5 horses with Festival aspirations. Should be very informative

Aidan O'Brien has a bumper runner today at Punchestown that is entered in the Champion Bumper

Egyptian Warrior - its a son of Galileo and is as short as 12/1 for the Bumper even before its run a race

Decent performance from Cheltenian at Doncaster after 707 days absence. Will be a player in the Supreme i think

Cannot wait for the festival!!

Has anyone taken Coral up on their Even money on Sprinter Sacre? Printing money that is!

Elsewhere I fancy:

Cue Card - Ryanair
Champagne Fever - Supreme Nov
Cantlow - JLT
Reve de Sivola - World Hurdle

So many cracking offers from the bookies on multiples as well!

They're all trying to outdo each other with these offers aren't they, but they know they'll make money and more throughout the week. I know PP got taken to the cleaners in the week with their new accounts 4/1 offer of Ronaldo to score at anytime. It was 5/4 if you already had an account with them.

That sprinter sacre one is a strange one, there must be tons of people lumping on that offer.

I take we are doing a tipsters competition this year ??

that sprinter sacre offer was only £20 max so its not going to make you rich.

Im going on the Thursday, been wanting to go every year but never got round to it. Cannot wait.

Cue Card in the Ryanair
Oscar Whiskey in the World for me
Cant see My Tent or Yours getting beat either

Lot of people pretty upset at the max £20 bet, certainly wasn't clear in the marketing. Still, if SS gets round he'll win so you double your money and new customers get a free matched bet, so it's ok!

MTOY looked good last time out but he hasn't seen Cheltenham before. Might stick him, Simonsig and Quevega in a short price treble for Tuesday.

cinders & ashes is real good value if the ground is good for the champion hurdle especially with paddy powers
offer of money back if the fly wins.
carlito brigante is a Cheltenham lover in the 3rd race on Tuesday & another offering good value imho.

I'm in Club on Friday. (I know but i'm with the wife and friends) My bet of the week is Cue Card in the Ryannair. Three of my ten to follow are the top 3 in the betting for the Gold Cup and I am agonizing on which one to back.

Simonsig won't be beat - a real classy type. Chatterbox will be an interesting runner too, seeing as he earlier slammed My Tent or Yours.

Frost covers on from tomorrow night, they except it to get down to -6 C on Monday night, and not much above freezing during the day Tuesday

At least forecast for Tues and Wed is dry though

I see a few I those horses I was looking at aren't listed anymore, still more work to do but getting to that changing my mind stage which isn't good

Is Mr Mole a good thing at Sandown today ?

I wouldn't say a good thing. He won nicely last time out but there's plenty of progressive sorts in the field like Pine Creek, Whitby Jack, Tanerko Emery, Tominator etc. and Charles Brynes has one over from Ireland for a reason I'd say. Far from a straight forward race.

Not going to turn down an extra £20 in your bin though !!!

Done this too it is just printing money albeit only 20 quid. Got the same deal with Boyle Sports in SS's last race and just withdrew the cash and never used the account again.

As for fancies i'll stick my neck out here and say that Silviano Conti will beat Bobs worth, SC is a proper proper horse. Sprinter Sacre and Quevega are gimme's although very short prices and all the rest of the races are up for grabs.

Other fancies are:
Day 1 - Dodging Bullets, Fruity O'Rooney, Quvega, Attaglance
Day2 - Dynaste, SS,
Day 3 - Cptn Conan, African gold, Cue Card & For Non Stop, Ballynagour, Super Duty
Day 4 - FarWest, Silviniaco Conti, Salsify, Gevrey Chambertin, Rody

Still a lot of studying to do.

Have done a Zankandar/Silv Conti double at enhanced odds 28/1
5 fold accum on SS, Quevega, Far West, Ballnagour and Salsify
The obligatory 20 on SS
A double on Oscar Whiskey and Silviniaco Conti.

Can't wait! Will there be a comp again this year?

Doubt i'll be betting today but I'd probably go for Tominator. Like the look of General Miller aswell. For an outsider I would have a dabble on Sporting Boy.
