By the sounds of things, he's only interested in the publicity that will come with him...

I admit also you need a player who is more than just winning the match. You need a star who can play on the pitch, but who can achieve much more for the club. Ronaldinho is that player.

Jo and Ronaldhino....add this to Mark Hughes' ability to motivate and create teams and they could be very good next year.

Hopefully this move will prove to big for Hughes and things will go pearshape like they did for big same at Newcastle.

(higher stature clube, fan base and players with bigger egos)

The last thing we need is the teams competing for 5th spot getting stronger

I really really really hope that one of my favourite ever players does not end up at bloody Manchester City. I was hoping he would go to another big club and regain his fitness and hunger for the game, looks like he is chasing the money like a lot of other football mercenaries out there.

I think the stroies of Ronaldinhos' demise are hugely exaggearted. He's had one bad season and I think there was more to it than poor form. People say he hasn't been the same player for 2 or 3 yeers, but that is nonsense. Last season i genuinley thought he was the best player in the world. I think he had an iffy start to the season, but for the large part he was superb. But, by then the press had gone so overboard in their assertations that he was fat and playing poorly at the start of the season and that he was in decline, that they refused to ever acknowledge how well he actually played. FFS, he scored 21 goals in 32 starts from the left! He also made 10 assists. I don't think anyone else in top level European football was able to boast those sort figures last season. If Messi had done that then he'd have been voted world player of the year for sure. This season, undoubtedly there has been somehting wrong. But last season people saw poor form and weaknesses in his game becasue they were actively looking for them, instead of focusing on the fact he was playing brilliant football.

The thing is he has completely changed the way he has played and that's why he got so much bad press but if anything he is now more effective. Up till about 2 years ago he was always dribbling and taking on players which is what the fans loved to see, but more recently he has stopped this and concentrates more on playing killer passes but still does this to great effect.

Maradona said it will be a mistake for Barca to sell him and he is right. He is still in the top 5-10 players in the world for me and I'd quite frankly be amazed if he ends up at City but i guess anything is possible with money in football.

No question in my mind he will/would be be a great signing for any premiership team. If Man City manage to sign him it will be something for us to fear.

Saying that it would be great to see him in the league although i'd rather him go to Utd then a team in direct competition to us

I am not too sure when he is due back training from his injury and maybe Meeeelan are playing the waiting game in the hope the transfer fee comes down. He would defo prefer a move to the San Siro, i still hope it will be to Inter, but doubt Mourinho would want him.

Taksin has an advantage we don't have. He can augment his wages with coke.

Does Hughes actually have a say in who city sign or was it part of his contract that he leaves it down to Shinawatra to sort that small part out.
