Massive lack of respect from Guardiola, people travel all over the world to get treated by Müller-Wohlfahrt, for example the infamous Michael Owen incident

Bit of a knob. That's what early success does to a career, much like Jose.

Well, except I think José plays a pantomime character and isn't actually much of a nob away from the cameras.

Guardiola has been at war with the doctor since he joined the club. I was reading his biography a few months back and the explanation was that Pep wasn't happy that M-W was based in his clinic in Munich and that injured players had to go to him, rather than M-W having a presence at the training ground and attending injured players immediately.

Basically what I interpreted was that Pep didn't feel the guy was 100% committed, and its just rumbled on from there.

Luka Modric was again Real's best player, he was superb, Bale was poor as was Ronaldo. They really are a lazy pair of ****s who do very little for their team mates.
Bale's definitely lazy- I swear he wasn't like that with us. It's quite strange considering he started off as a LB but now wants to do no defensive work at all.

They still have other medical staff on site though no? I mean yeah, MW is the top dog but it's not like there aren't any other qualified professionals at the training ground. Besides, MW sees people from all over the world and not just for football, it kind of makes sense

He wasn't exactly diligent in his tracking back when playing Left Wing, and when he got moved to the No.10 role he gave up tracking back altogether.

Eventually iirc the compromise was that M-W's son would be based at the training ground, before that the doctors were at the clinic and the players travelled to them. It's fair enough that he as a doctor has a number of wide-ranging patients, I just think Pep as a football manager wanted a bit more priority towards the club.

Something obviously hasn't been going right at Bayern though. Fair enough Ribery and Robben have always been injury prone but they always seem to have people coming back, then suffered an injury reoccurrence and are back on the treatment table. I think they aren't too impressed with some of the treatment that players have been getting.

Also just reading that Rummenigge apparently stuck the boot in too about Ribery's condition, which was the catalyst for him quitting.

It was always his problem. From the get go you could see he had an aversion to defending. His problem through most of his time with us was that he was effectively a LM in a 442 under Redknapp and when he wasn't producing something he wasn't working hard enough without the ball, and for much of his development time he wasn't producing enough to get away with that. AVB vastly improved both his productivity and the amount he saw the ball in games.

Benatia got injured against Leverkusen and Guardiola sarcastically applauded the medical team

Yeah that's going back to what I said earlier. Benatia is one of those who keeps picking up recurring injuries. They give him the all clear, he comes back, picks up an injury again. Rightly or wrongly they've run out of patience with the medical team.

But the problems are relatively new though, it's never been this bad, so could we argue that the new training methods are to blame?

I can't imagine the training methods are much less rigorous than they were under Heynckes are they ? I know Pep's methods depend on high energy and fitness but Heynckes was pretty similar no ?

I think that's probably something to do with it, I'd imagine Pep and Co. though feel that they are getting duff info from the medical staff and whatever methods they use (I think he uses a lot of homeopathy and experimental treatments from what I have read before) isn't getting them recovered and able to get back in to a demanding regime. The whole approach is clearly not working.

I put the match on for 10 seconds and Bayern already playing a suicidal pass to Neuer who has Martinez with him in the box
