Spanish outlets Mundo Deportivo and Sport have both revealed Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet is ready to make the next move in his career and will announce some ‘important news’ this week. The report suggests Ligue 1 club Marseille have made an offer to take the defender back to France on a one-year loan, with Spurs offering to double the duration of that deal.

Inter fans laughed when we bought Kulusevski and Bentancur. Many of our own fans (myself included) thought Dier was finished and Sanchez was rubbish. Doherty looks like a different player and Emerson put in decent performances towards the end of the season. Lenglet has had a rough spell at Barca, but the whole team went through a bad patch. They played a ridiculously high line with 2 CBs not renowned for their speed and got repeatedly caught out and Lenglet was often singled out. Put Lenglet in a solid back 3 and I think he gets back to his best, which is precisely the player we need. His passing range is exactly what Conte wants. On a loan with an option it's an absolute no brainer for me.
Edit; Leaves us plenty of money for Bremer too if we're considering Gvardiol at 60m+. That would give us fantastic depth and options at CB.
