Was very young but saw him late in he's career but he was a fantastic player even then .one of the greatest to wear the lilywhite.

I have his first bio, Forward With Spurs, in hardback too. So many years have flown by since then and I have known Cliff and his wife Joan for around 55 years now. It will be interesting to read the new book.

I saw him in the double side & he was fantastic player who never gave anything less than 100%. He wasn't the biggest, but I can still vision him coming in at corners jumping, seemingly, higher than the crossbar & heading a goal.

Oi, I was alive in the 70s/80s. Less of that back chat you little whipper snapper or you’ll get a clip round the lughole!
