TBF i would think that winning the Champions League would be more important than qualifying for it next year.

So both teams will want to win it. That still doesn't show the pressure is all on Bayern, does it? If Bayern don't win it, they are still in it next year. The same doesn't apply to Chelsea - they have more reasons to need to win it, hence the pressure is more on Chelsea than it is on Bayern.

I was responding to someone who said, stupidly, that the pressure is all on Bayern. It isn't. So you're not really making a valid point, are you.

Chill Bruv!!! I wasnt discrediting your point or playing a right vs wrong game! Just stating that its equal pressure and things like qualification dont have anmy relevance in a one of cup final.

Bayern are favourites

Pressure is on both clubs

Bayern have a lot of advantages, better team, better form, at home etc etc and if we were looking at it objectively we would all be backing them to win pretty easily.

It is however a won off game and football is as they say a funny old game.

Chelsea could win, just as they beat Napoli and just as they progressed past Barca even when 2-0 down with 10 men.....it would be foolish to write off their chances.

That being said, Bayern are still rightfully favourites and as I said before circumstances being as they are a win for them would be like a win for us. So in some respects its nice to have a vested interest in the game, get a few beers in and (hopefully) enjoy the night. If Bayern win it would be almost as glorious as our win at Eastlands in 2010 and if they lose at least you'll be pissed

ill be shocked if chelsea win. bayern will be right up for it and will simply have to much for a makeshift chelsea defence. chelsea might even be without cahill and luiz for center half spots yet so its looking good for bayern.

im not overly worried but i said that about barca not losing in nou camp. chelsea like arsenal have alot of luck so you never know

I'm worn out worrying about it all.
If the Chavs win then so be it, sh*t happens.

It's out of our control.

Has anyone compiled a list of teams we could potentially face in qualifying if Bayern beat Chelsea?

I think this is probably the most I've ever supported another team. I'm going to watch the game as if I was a genuine Bayern fan I think!

Want to hear all the build up news and maybe we can even have a "what would you choose" formation/tactics type thread.

Anyone know any good Bayern songs I can sing?

Its similar to the time Arsenal were in the final against Barca, I wanted Barca to win so much I jumped off my sofa and went Crazy when they got the winner (more excited than I do when Spurs score half the time lol)

chelsea will have no centre-halves available

rdm is mourinho

ramires is injured

frank and drogba have seen their best days and they know it

chelsea used all their fortune in the semi-final

if chelsea do manage to win..frankly, they will deserve it. i wouldnt even back it at 20s.
