So, Seville won't do business with us 'cause we 'sole' their manager.
We took Liverpool to the FA 'cause they 'stole' a player from us.
We are fcuking Manure about because they want to 'steal' a player from us and we want compensation.
We're wanting compensation from Man Shity because we wanted to sign a player from them and they 'stole' him back from us.

Notice anything developing here.
Is it just us?

Did we?

We took Liverpool to the FA 'cause they 'stole' a player from us.

They admitted they tapped him up by giving money to our charity.

We are fcuking Manure about because they want to 'steal' a player from us and we want compensation.

Man Utd, tapping up? Never!

We're wanting compensation from Man Shity because we wanted to sign a player from them and they 'stole' him back from us.

Man City are a mess, it's nowt to do with us.

Stealing, enforced sales, whatever. It's a dirty business but then football is a business so it's to be expected.

You might think we've now got poor relationships with these clubs (Crystal Palace as well) and might never do business with them again...but money talks.

True to an extent, but do you think if we offered Le Arse £100m for Fatbigass they'd sell?

Maybe they would because we'd go into administration:oops:

I remember a lot of people saying that Chelsea wont do business with us because of the Arnesen affair. Personally I think relations between us and most of these clubs are more cordial than we realise and allow the media and ITK to exaggerate things. I think the club are also guilty of sensationalising at times, for example the current Berbatov affair and the infamous statement. I suspect that relations between David Gill and Daniel Levy are in fact pretty good.

I think that Daniel Levy is just laying down guidelines and letting the football world know that during his regime he/Spurs will no longer allow others to f..... around with him/Spurs anymore. Lessons have been learnt and he's simply showing that if any team wants to do business with the club then by all means do so, but the right and, dare I say it, ethical way.

i think levy is setting an example! The middle clubs should fight! Demand excessive fees! I love Levy

But they always do. Rooney, Ferdinand, Carrick and SWP are all examples of middle clubs getting vast sums of money for players from the top 4. I can't really think of any recent examples of highly sort after players leaving middle clubs, for the top 4 and not costing a fortune. This idea that we are some how fighting more than other clubs doesn't really add up. We conceded in the infamous statement that the players want to leave and we have since sold Keane for the fee quoted in the press pre statement and it is looking more and more likley that the same will happen with Berbatov. I remember at the time lots of people were suggesting that Levy was using the tapping claims as a negotiating tool and we'd make Utd pay around £35 million etc, yet the complaint is now being heard, so there will be no negotation because of it and I'd be surprised if we got over £28 million. To fight would be to refuse to sell. What we have done is used the media to suggest we are fighting. The result will be the same regardless. Look to Villa and the Barry saga. They have set their price and wont budge from it. I'm sure they could have found evidence of tapping up etc if they wanted to do, but what's the point? Their position is the same and Liverpool can use the press or tap up all they want, but Villa wont sell Barry for less than what they are asking.

THFC are playing a dangerous game IMO and I hope it doesn't back fire one day. We seem to cry blue murder when other teams do what we have done to others... all it seems for the beloved words "compensation claim" (a common word around this club lately).

I suppose Levy is clever and is trying to get as much money he can possibly get. but as mentioned above, If we want to make a stand, we simply refuse to sell our best players period...as United have done with Ronaldo, Villa has seem to have done with Barry, Sevilla have done with Capel.
