Probably the going rate these days. Transfer market has gone into overdrive, at least as far as premier league clubs are concerned.

Don’t see the appeal of Gallagher tbh, but then he’s another home grown option, and would be far better suited to our midfield than some of our other players. So maybe decent squad building. All a bit underwhelming though.

With Sarr looking like such a prospect and Bentancur on his way back, plus with Skipp still here I just don't see the point in going for Gallagher even if PEH leaves. Get someone who can compete with Biss for the number 6 role. Maybe trust the scouts and pick up Redondo.

If we are desperate to get a HG option in then break the bank for Eze who can play multiple positions to a high PL standard. The FFP headroom is there.

Connor Gallagher can't fill in at the No. 10 or RW position, not only is that writer reaching, he's trying to get to a word minimum.

Gallagher is not Valverde.

Did I see that Amrabat had a few agreed with Forest for £17m? If the aye true why are we not jumping on that!

I really don’t want Gallagher for £50m I’d rather get Amrabat or go balls deep for Palhinha.

I get the Gallagher situation with HG though so it kinda makes sense but £50m is ridiculous.

Can you imagine if Redondo turned out anything like his father. It would be like having Modric and Dembele rolled into one player

Hojbjerg out and Gallagher in would be an real upgrade with Ange style of play. Then in Jan when Bentancur is back we can play on selling Skipp

Let's not help out Chelsea with their future FFP breach by buying their players for inflated prices.

In order to help balance the books with their stupid spending they're relying on regular player sales and future CL qualification. Everyone needs to stop buying their players and fuck them over.

If we need to buy a midfielder (and IMO it should be way down the priority list) get Eze instead. He's a better player.

I like Gallagher and think he's be a good fit for us but I have no idea why Chelsea would sell him as they're so short of midfield options.

Getting two young English players for 100m and recouping 30m from Hojbjerg would be really sensible business given our homegrown issues

Eze would be 60m, Gallagher 45 and we sell Hojbjerg for 25-35, who is the inflated player here ?

Bissouma, Bentancur (once fit), Sarr, Gallagher, Skipp would be a lot of quality for two positions with 4 of them expecting to start.

Gallagher seems most similar in profile to Skipp (at least, what we are trying to do with Skipp with him arriving in the penalty area), so I do wonder if he has a long term future here if we are pushing for CG.

Tottenham plot a late swoop for Chelsea's Conor Gallagher as Ange Postecoglou targets reinforcements in midfield - with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in talks over a potential loan move to Atletico Madrid

  • Conor Gallagher is aware of Spurs' interest but has yet to receive a formal bid
  • Spurs' pursuit will likely depend on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's future at the club
Tottenham are preparing a late move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

The 23-year-old, who captained Chelsea against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday night, is aware of Tottenham's interest but they have yet to make a formal approach.

The deal is likely to depend on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's pending departure with the Danish international discussing a possible loan move to Atletico Madrid.
