We owe it to Ange to do him one solid. If this is the guy he wants today and we are 5M off just freaking pay it.

Agree but we'll continue to haggle until PEH is out the door.

Then we'll get closer, much closer I suspect.

Upgrade on Hojbjerg. I wouldn't say Gallagher and Skipp are similar types of midfielders. Where as him and Hojbjerg seem to be the box to box and can do defensive duties also.
Skipp was deployed in the 8 role pre season for Ange.

Would like the options post today of;
6 - Bissouma & Bentancur
8 - Sarr & Gallagher
10 - Maddison & Lo Celso

Skipp to fill in as a 6/8

Doubt that very much.

Levy would ignore his opinions on transfers and buy him cheap players or nothing at all. (Not counting his last window)
Boehly similarly ignores his opinions on transfer but instead buys him £100m players and the highest rated talent around the world.
I dunno. Selling a first team player, that he trusts, and has played in every game from under him on deadline day seems like a pretty good way to upset him tbh.

Sarr looks to be at the stage where he needs to play week in week out. If this happens, which I don't think it will, I hope it's not at the expense of Sarr.

I'd argue that both Gallagher and Kulu (and of course Devine long term) can fill in as a 10 as well, possibly meaning that we could rotate out GLC if he doesn't impress this season and put Devine in.

I think if our attack continues to look so blunt having 5 CM’s that can score goals in Biss, Bents, Sarr, Madders and Gallagher along with Porro and Udogie being good goal scoring fullbacks I think that will get us by until we add some more quality up front

MATT BARLOW: Hojbjerg rejects Fulham interest
Fulham have been looking at replacements for Bayern Munich-bound Joao Palhinha.

However, one player who won't be joining is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with the Tottenham midfielder turning down their interest.

This could have a knock-on effect onto Spurs' hopes of signing Conor Gallagher.

Yea there's undoubtedly scope further down the line to evolve this group and Skipp and Lo Celso would be the first names likely to be phased out.

Basically comes down to Atletico tabling an acceptable offer. Shame La Liga clubs have lost all of their spending power.

If he's ruled out Fulham perhaps AM have signalled their intention to get him

Much more sustainable going forward having multiple goal threats instead of placing far too much emphasis on a few, or in our case in recent years, Kane and to a lesser extent Son.

Even our #6s push forward so really the 6 & 8 can all almost swap if needed, and Skipp did well getting into the box and his goals. But he isn't a #8 IMO.

Agree with the above, we could lose Skipp and Hojbjerg and still be fine.

Or maybe he just doesn't wanna take a step down clubwise?

Atletico I could wholly understand, but Fulham would surely be an unambitious move.

Yep its a possibility.

But I think he'd of ruled them out immediately in that case.

I'm hoping Fulham were a second choice and AM have signalled their intent to bid for him now.
