Needs to pull his finger out if he wants a future here IMO.

Stevie B would need to turn up tonight then. Have already seen far too many nothing performances from him in his relatively short time with us.

I doubt he considers his move to spurs a good decision by any means. He needs a team who value him enough to coach him well and play him regularly. Spurs haven't done that so far and have been far from stable. There is a potentially brilliant player there but not sure we'll ever see it. I'd give him the choice, all in from now or out the door in Jan. If he's all in then he's on trial until the summer to see if we want him to stay.

Agree with this. He's been underwhelming but it's happened to too many of our signings to purely place the blame on them. Bergwijn, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Reguilon, Ndombele, Royal, Hojbjerg...these were all very good players at their former clubs, hence us playing significant amounts for them, and some are still showing it when they go on international duty. We have to look at our own set-up as to why almost none of our more expensive signings prove to be successful.

I think a major part of that is we have a scattergun approach with no identity as to how we want to play. We bring in different managers with different styles and buy these players then ask them to do somehing different to what they were excelling at in the first place.
We did it with Lamela as well. Doherty is another.
Until we get a clear idea of how we want to play, only bring in managers who fit that criteria and players for the positions and skill set required, we'll continue to see a total cluster fuck of a squad.
Imo.
