Crappy League Cup Final scheduling clash: shout out to Irish SCers

Aargh! I've just realised the Cup Final clashes with the rugby. For those of us lucky enough to live in Ireland, this is a bit of an issue. Nobody much interested in Spurs over here (or Chelsea), but lots of interest in the rugby. My chances of watching the football in any of my local pubs are less than zero, I'd say. Any SCers in Limerick (or Ennis) know of a Spurs-friendly pub, by any chance??

I feel your pain dude, and I won't pay Sky their ransom money either so can't watch it at home.

My plan is to either watch it in my parents and record the rugby and watch it after or stream the game at home with the rugby on the tv.

I am lucky there is no hurling on the tv or the second option would be gone too.

Fair enough. I'll see you round at your parents' at 3.45. I'll bring the beers.

My local pub is showing the rugby downstairs and the football upstairs.

How does that help me watch both?!

Luckily my local has two tellys so we'll have the football with commentary on the main one and the rugby on silent on the other.

I'll be watching the football at Wembley but I thought I'd ask them to put the rugby on the big screen. Worst case scenario, they can only say no.

Well I hear on O'Connell street
a few spurs fans were planning to meet
there's a pub and it might be
if you ask politely
showing the cup final, and Chelsea's defeat

ya wont get the match on in the Bot that will be packed with the rugby fans

Aye, ive experienced that, you'll be squeezed into that wee front bar, about 200 people all huddled around a wee pokey tv in the corner lol

I was in the main bar when we won the 2008 final though, lucky spot perhaps...

Will it not be on at all? I think they sometime put the football on in the little side bar? I might give them a call later, I love the Bot for watching any sport.
