Tottenham Cristian Romero will not face retrospective action for pulling the hair of Chelsea's Marc Cucurella on Super Sunday - as pulling a player's hair is not considered an offence in football's rules.

it was a stupid haircut for a footballer anyway but a london derby fooballer needs to dress for the occasion..... I'd tolerate it if he played for us but as its chelsea he just looks like a moron.:ROFLMAO:

The FA sent a cyborg assassin back in time to retrospectively alter the rules on hair pulling in order to screw Tuchel and further the FA's agenda of destroying Chelsea.

I would have thought it would go in with pulling a player back (shirt/arm/etc). So should have had a booking
I think he was trying to move his hair out the way as it was obscuring his vision

wait a sec… if that’s the case we should of had a penalty for obstruction

Yeah, I'm probably biased but my instant reaction was 'yellow'. Like pulling hair is obviously bad but players get away with yellows for very painful, bad challenges all the time.

Like Romero clearly impeded him and pulled him back but Cucurella didn't seem hurt at all - it wasn't a true act of violence like a headbutt (i.e. violent conduct).

We all think we know what we saw on Sunday, but I've just done a trawl of the images available online and there's not one that shows Romero holding Cucurella's hair, and most of the photos used by the national press are suspiciously blurry.

I'm of the opinion that, whatever happened, neither referee (and his assistants), VAR, or the press were able to conclusively demonstrate that Romero had grabbed a handful of C's hair when they were wrestling before the corner was taken.

If the officials had seen something, it would be the equivalent of Romero "raising his hand" to Cucurella's face and would surely have been flagged as violent conduct.
