Anyone in or around us when it happened? :)

For most of you who wont know, when we scored our first, the guy directly behind chucked himself head first as far as he could forward - landing on the people 4 rows ahead of us (but not before half of us smacked by flying knee's etc - Razzmatazz, sitting next to me, came away with a bust lip :-D ).

Anyway, after the goal he'd got up and climbed back to his seat... then Defoe scored :) and as you can imagine, he did it again. I'm not sure if he just got unlucky, of whether people were conscious of what he might do, but either way, when he got up, he'd clearly not landed on people, but rather cold, hard seats. I've never seen so much red at White Hart Lane before. The poor guy seated 3 rows down from me had to use his mates newspaper to clean his now almost entirely red seat. Needless to say, the surfer guy went off for medical attention, rather than returning to plan his 3rd jump :p

Is this sort of thing semi-normal? Go you get the odd mental person, seemingly hellbent on killing themselves?

There were over 30,000 of them after the Wolves game.

Brilliant:rofl:

Next time they'll probably seat him in the front row of the upper.:)
I've go this great mental picture of Defoe scoring and the south upper parting like the red sea with everyone running sideways.

Y'know, last time i was down in south lower i was looking up at the upper tier thinking that it doesn't look that much higher a drop than the balcony dive at Walthamstow Assembly Hall, which i know Jodie Fleisch can fire a shooting star press from, so i figure that, as long as those below knew you were coming and were ready for you, a stagedive off the upper wouldn't be entirely out of the equation

Just have to time it so that one of the day-glo-robocops don't snag you :shifty:

Thats really stupid, i mean what if he had landed on some children or something, then the ground would end up getting closed.

Wish people would put a little thought into things, doing that last night was extremely dangerous

See, i'd agree with you, if it was in the Paxton but Park Lane end, i've always considered it a rather unsuitable place to take small kids anyway

The language, banter, actions and people in that end are, in some cases, a little near the mark, hence the necessity of a "family" end nowadays. Obviously, i'm not saying that kids should be kept away from that end but still, i would hope that most of the people in that stand would be more than aware of the atmosphere and likelyhood of something silly happening, compared to the relatively peaceful Paxton.

Exactly - Park Lane is the reason we get such a pukka atmosphere at the Lane.... think is all a good laugh myself so fair play to the bloke.
