Can't see Rose and chadli developing any meaningful understanding as Rose doesn't seem to know how to play with a left front who likes to hang on the inside.

Anyway, hopefully AVB can work some magic and get more service to our striker. No point buying a 30 a season hotshot if we can't get the ball to him.

Rose impressed me more than I thought. Chadli grew into the game and Dembele/Paulinho combo looks very strong. Can't keep defending Lennon, how many times does he fail to deliver final ball.

As expected, we have a lot of possession but all our passes are telegraphed. There are no first time passes, no creativity and it's all very predictable indeed.

Dembele has to be able to do more than just take his man on and Lennon needs to make the right pass.

Lennon is getting way too much flack. All of our chances have come from the right side. The left has been abysmal. Watching Rose and Chadli is painful. Hopefully they will step up their game.

A draw today would be a disaster. I know people will say it's early days and Palace is a tough opponent (just like last year when people used all kinds of justifications for the West Brom and Norwich draws early on), but not getting three points today is like dropping two points. I don't care what Arsenal have done, our ambitions should be much higher in my opinion.

There is no Bale to shoot from 35 yards out and win the game.. What will AVB do? Capoue for Sigurdsson and push Dembele up the pitch? Townsend for Lennon? Both would work for me.

I actually wonder how Adebayor would do playing with Soldado. He has a lot more creativity in his game than most in this squad, and it'd be a shame if he didn't get a run out with this side.

...and Willian hopefully. God we need them. Lennon is just useless for the most part and Chadli isn't good enough. Seen a lot of him. Capoue on for Sig may add some creativity from deep too. Sig is anonymous.

Anyone else think that despite the lion share of our possession coming down our right the two players playing there barely have the a single football brain cell between them?

Still think that we have the same problem as last season, too slow in possession and the man on the ball not having enough passing options as the off the ball movement is poor.

palace working very hard as expected. Got that underdog at home energy but they should tire.

Siggurdson probably has the most important role in the team, linking midfield and attack and it isn't working for him, not sure what his best position is. He looked better than this when he had to play wide left last season. doesn't turn and look forward for a pass when he gets the ball. He has good shoot technique though.

Think Dembele or Carroll would be much better in that role

Chadli and Lennon need to be more penetrative, that's what they're there for, and when they get into good positions make better decisions

Everyone else has been fine. Couple of better decisions and we go in 2 up. Soldado bereft of decent service
