Reading through the transfer forum threads, it appears we may/may not bring in some 'quality' players before the end of the transfer window.

Now, with the CC final in four weeks, is it right that anyone we do bring in, steps straight into the team at the expense of the 'regulars', for the Wembley final, in order to improve our chances of winning the cup.

Personaly, if Ramos thinks they are good enough to be bought in the January window, then they should play in our strongest team.

Ramos should play the strongest team - regardless of if they have played 1 game or 200 games for Spurs.

The end.

You have to consider that the new players would need time to 'bed down' and become accustomed to our style of play. Of the three mentioned, you could probably only say that Woodgate would be immediately able to start. Gilberto hasn't played in England before (I don't think) and Tiago hasn't for a year and a half, so they'll both need time to adjust. That then becomes Ramos' primary responsibility with regard to those players - bringing them up to speed. Possible to do by th 24th Feb, but not guranteed, so putting them into the Cup Final team isn't as clear cut as all that.

Gunter's cup tied for the carling

Damn :-(

Chris: I'm loving the way that spending a solitary evening with me is enough to convince you of Chimbonda's short comings. So much so in fact that you'd now rather see an 18 year old with 34 career games to his name than Pascal :-D
