What happened to Great White Hope Coates?

He seem to be joined by another big hope, Tiago Ilori, amongst "star potential" CBs who can't get into the (or can't make it at) Liverool team and subsequently sent out on loan.
Talking about Ilori, btw, I thought he would make more of an impact, him being being a very pacey, 190 cm tall, ball-skilled CB....but he seem to lack positional sense. But I would not mind if Spurs tried with a cheeky bid of, say, £3-4M...in the hope that Poch could sort him out (and yes I know not even Poch's got a magic wand that works on all players).

Would love Agger, has a mistake in him but all footballers do, even the best defenders. At £12m he could be a great squad member for 3/4 years.

I agree but I worry about his injuries & their recurrences

I suggested him as a target on here a month ago and most of the responses were that he's too injury prone. I didn't realise that but if it is the case then no thanks.

If Vert was off or seriously injuered then he'd be a good solution but he's a starting cb so we couldn't expect him to be back up. We've got fryers who is a lcb but also dier who looked surprisingly comfortable despite being right footed. I'd say no unless there is some injury to verts we dont know about.

NO thanks! Not a good example for younger players because of all of his tattoo's. I know we currently have players with a lot of tattoo's, but Agger looks like a prisoner because of it. We should not sign him. So many other good defenders out there.

He's a qualified tattoo artist too, which of course must be a bad thing

As for injury prone - he just became second choice last season after one spell out with injury. Season before he only missed 3 PL games.

Since when did the Herts & Essex Observer ever get a scoop on football transfer news, outside of maybe Bishop's Stortford FC.

He does actually look like the main guy from Prison Break but with hair so you might be onto something, and don't forget Holtby was loaned to Fulham and had the blue prints of Craven Cottage tattooed on his arm in preperation for his escape. He could be next out the door if you're right about this which I assume you are because you're SpursKing.
