Since generic billionaire Arabs took over, Citeh have taken what little integrity the Premiership had left and wiped their arse with it. But I'm not bitter of course...

Some of the comments in here are more clear examples of the agenda bullshit within sections of the fan base.

Rose was poor last season, but some people cannot accept that he's been one of our best players this season and one of the top LBs in the league. I don't even think there is one stand-out LB who has been better than him this season. Maybe Bertrand.

If you really think Rose has been average/shit, then I think you need to re-evaluate your interpretation of performance.

That's saying it as nice as I can.

Any manager, after experiencing working with Danny boy, would probably jump ship at the first chance!!

I would hate to work for a chairman who provides me with one of the best training facilities in Europe, a new stadium, the fifth or sixth highest wage bill in the richest league in the world and who will pay me to work with some of the best players and one of the best clubs outside the 8-10 elite institutions world wide.

Some people don't want to accept facts, especially as that would mean giving plaudits to Pochettino. MP showed faith in Rose and he has coached him into being a very good player, but it would seem that for some it is better to believe that his trajectory has flattened out. Man City are a plastic club, who would cynically buy him to improve their quota of home grown players. Rose is level headed and will hopefully see sense, because for his career he should continue under the tutelage of Poch and then improve further by finishing his learning abroad.

I have to disagree with the best players bit. If our players, with a couple of exceptions, had anything about them then they would realise that wins against Burnley and Villa would've put us in pole position to take advantage of City's implosion and grab a place in the CL that they supposedly crave!! They obviously don't really want it THAT much!! The question is, what is their aim?!! Do they view Spurs as just a stepping stone or a nice pay day?

We need to keep our home grown players. Looks like spurs can build a squad of young players who have grown up in the academy and progressed 1st team squad. This is how Alex Fergie built success at Man Utd. for many years... Becks, Giggs, Neville etc. Also the PL / FA / UEFA regs. have to be complied with.

I wouldn't have any qualms about selling a perfectly average full back and if our new world beating scouting system can't scour the globe and find a better left back than Danny Rose, then they're not worth their salaries.

He's not average though . He never was . He has just become consistent .
The average spurs fans distrust and dislike of him has been completely illogical .

In common with YP Lee and BAE , Rose get's no help on the left which is why he looks exposed on occasions .

For the biggest clubs it's not just about talent . They can afford to buy players with the complete package ; intelligence , attitude , freedom from injury , will to win , non stop motor . Rose ticks all the boxes .

One wonders why Man City are getting shot of another English player with a fabulous attittitude ; Milner . I think Arsenal may win the league next year if they manage to close that deal .

Easier said than done. He's not perfectly average for a start. How many left backs are there better than him playing in England? I could count them on one hand.

The very fact that City are even rumoured to be interested shows you that it's hardly the piece of piss to find someone better that you're suggesting.

I don't agree with you and I don't limit myself to left backs in the premiership as we are allowed to buy a left back from anywhere.

I don't dislike rose, but I think, Shaw, Baines, Gibbs, azpilicueta and Clichy are better than him and I'm sure there must be one or two scattered around La liga, serie a and the bundersliga as well.

I didn't say it a "piece of piss".

I don't agree, I think he's consistantly average, Leighton Baines is much better than him, he only cost a few million from Wigan, these players are out there and it's the job of our scouting network to find them.

As previously posted, I am not anti rose and wish him nothing but joy and 30 yard screamers.

Of course Leighton Baines is better but he's older too .

Our first team is years away from Danny Rose becoming the weak link .

If Rose is only average , then what does that make the rest of our squad ?

It's almost as if the teams above us have better players. Who would have guessed?

Poor, Kane, Mason, Ericksen, Dier, Loris, Bentaleb and Chadli are worth keeping, the rest can go.

I'd like to let him go as I don't rate him, but this season he has certainly done far better than I expected and it's likely that Poch would want to keep him.

That said is it that he really has become that much better or is it that the team around him have become that much worse and an average player can stand out as being good:meh:
