Ben Davies was outstanding yesterday, both defensively and going forward - i'm so glad he had a good game, showed exactly what he can do. Hope he can push on now (y)

Davies had a good game v Everton. The first time in ages that we have kept Coleman quiet. Had good support from Eriksen in front of him as well.

I thought he was massively disciplined and that is key for him as he's not the quickest of full backs. I think Rose is ok at LB but he is certainly more attacking minded and a bit wild defensively.

Overall Ben seems the more likely to have a long term hold on that 1st team spot, imo.

But lets not forget his amateur misjudgement when he tried to intercept in front of the attacker, the flight beat him and the attacker was off on his own. We were lucky not to be punished but I know what here would be saying if it was Rose despite the fact that Rose has also defended well in the main.

Defensively he's far more accomplished than Rose, same as Naughton with Walker. Depends on how MP wants the team to play.
Attacking FBs Walker/Yedlin and Rose
Defensive FBs Naughton and Davies.
