Excellent. Sends all the right signals. Tying down a great player on a long term contract is wise business sense, but also says hands off and that the player is happy at the club.

Also makes the point that at Spurs, youth is appreciated and that if you shine, then you will be rewarded. Very pleased.

Comes across as a very level headed guy who obviously has good people around him. Very refreshing to hear/read.
Really positive move from the club.

It won't be long before, Alli, Kane, Dier, Bentaleb, Lamela and Eriksen are dominating the premiership.

Brilliant!

He's a beacon to all other talented young players in UK that this is the place to be right now.

Yeah, get in. And f**k those who were posting on here earlier about him leaving at the first opportunity to go to Liverpool because "he supports them".

Big signal of intent
There was already the usual suspects rumoured to be starting to sniff around him, so signing a new deal definitely reasserts the fact he is happy at Spurs, and not in any way looking to move.
Sort out the striker issue.
Sort out the future of Veljkovic, take over from Fazio.
Maybe add a young lower league player or two (Dele Alli for 2016...)....
Perfect.

Got great potential just hope he can realise it with us. Really glad he's got a new contract clearly he deserves to be paid the same sort of rate the other first team players get.
