Dembele targets more goals to prove his worth to Pochettino

Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is determined to score more goals in an effort to prove his worth to manager Mauricio Pochettino.

We definitely need more goal scorers within the squad, apart from Kane Chadli Eriksen Rose Townsend got 5, the rest have been pretty poor their output has to be better. Dembele Mason Bentaleb should be hitting 5-10 a piece. The defence collectively between them I'd expect at least 10 goals.

It's sad that people feel the need to mock the guy even though he's clearly trying to make more of an impact for us and trying to improve his game.

The criticism levelled at Dembele previously is that he does all good things up to the final third and then doesn't contribute so at least he's recognised this and wants to stay here and fight for us.

I'm proud of the kid and delighted that he's trying to improve.

I agree that our defensive frailties let us down and if we defend better with our output of goals scored last season we'd be in a good position, but still would like more goals in the team.

So Dembeles end of year report was basically shows lots of ability but must apply himself harder in advanced positions. so he's responding by saying, yes sir, of course I will.

If we want ANYONE to score more goals we're going to have to stop slipping into this AVB style of football and actually get in the oppositions half, where the goal is, and have some bloody shots.
Kane, Eriksen and Chadli were spectators for about 60min on Sat watching our gk, defence and 2dm tippy tappy the ball about between them. You wont score goals like that even if you've got Ronaldo and Messi up front.
Sorry but if your averaging 10 shots per game and 3 on target you won't get many goals.
We were all over Man U for 20min. So disappointed to see us revert to that shit. Hoped we'd be past that by now. Apparently not.

To be fair that's mainly why we lost steam and it's something that needs to be addressed. I thought we were playing well before that despite what others may think.

I'm not sure what the future is for him. When he first came I thought we had a central midfielder to take on the best. Now Poch plays two deep midfielders and three more advanced so I don't know where he fits. Too talented to get nothing out of him.
