Perhaps if you replaced the name Soldado with Eriksen then your point may have been better made.

ok. go on then. My point still stands.

Why would anyone put football ahead of not wanting a human to act like a scumbag is beyond me.

Not really. You can maybe shrug off the odd stamp but this guy is a constant **** of the highest order and i'd really struggle to follow spurs if he was in my team.

But what if he bought a load of Spurs merchandise and put it on Instagram...?

This is like the "We should have bought Suarez" type threads. Apparently it doesn't matter if the player is the biggest scumbag to ever run onto a pitch or how dirty he is, it's only the results that matter. We might as well grab Ched Evans as well while he's still available because who cares how much he is hated as a convicted rapist? How about Nicolas Anelka? The guy makes the odd fascist salute but so what, so long as he can bang in a few goals and win us something he should be OK.

I'm sure Bill Nicholson would have been fine with the likes of Costa or Suarez. Or maybe not of course, he thought there was more to the game than 'win at all costs'

The trouble is fans tend to overlook these kind of negative things if a player does well. Taricco was regularly an arsehole, When we talk about Defoe hardly anyone talks of his nibble on Mascherano when Bale was falling over with alarming regularity most people were crying about him being victimised.
I would've bitten your arm off to have Suarez at this club (pun intended) There is no excuse for his behavior but who is to say the transgressions would have occurred had he been playing for us.

anyway i only came here to post this

Sky Sports:

The FA has confirmed that Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been charged for violent conduct following the incident involving Liverpool's Emre Can in the Capital One Cup last night.

Costa has until 6pm this Thursday to respond to the charge but there will be no action taken for the incident involving Costa and Martin Skrtel.

Quote from Tim Vickery on BBC;

"When Diego Costa first came to Chelsea, the very first thing he did was get Cesc Fabregas to act as an interpreter and tell John Terry: "John, I am going to get into a battle with the defence every game. If it goes off I want your support."

Not going to lie, I fucking love that.

He deserve to be charged, but I think this also further reinforces the English protection.

Why wasn't Sterling charged for his slap? Cahill for his dive?
