Good Evening All

This might be a little bit early to already speak about transfers but there are 1 player that i have always really appreciatted as a forward that will be available on the summer market in a few months.

Djjbril Cissé.

Since, his arrival in Greece in summer 2009, he has been racilly abused several times (as this happens sometimes in Italy, Spain or Greece for black players)

and

Djibril was insulted with racists abuses from Olympiakos fans in the derby between and Olympiakos Pana (on the 19.02.11) that Panathiniakos clearly lost because of obvious bad refereing decisions.( some videos can be seen on the internet)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Csj1sUkE_Zg&feature=related

( Cissé was gutted after the game and Pana players were attacked by Olympiakos fans after the game.)

(For your information, the president of Olympiakos is also one of the boss of Greek Football League.......................)

Cissé has had good stats since his arrival in Greece and is very appreciated by Pana fans but he told several times to french medias (after the important problems after the Pana - Olypiakos Match ) that he will leave the Greek League at the end of the season ( no matter if he still has some years on his contract left).

He had had the possibility to leave Greece in the winter market and he confirmed to french journalitsts that he had had offer from Newcastle + one other EPL Club that wasn't Spurs but i do not remember and Bordeaux but refused to leave his team-mates during the season.

He made it clear that he WILL leave Greece at the end of the season no matter what gonna happen til the end of the season.

I have always been a great admirer of him as i think he has proven he is a great striker.
Moreover, he is the best striker of the greek league and a model captain considering the recent events in the greek

Here are the points that he would be a great addition to us.

He is powerful and fast with great determination in front of the goal.
(you'll be able to see that on many vids of him on some well known websites)

He has already proven himself in several leagues and he was quite good in Liverpool and Sunderland.
So would n't need much time to,adapt to the english football.

He is a real professional that never had any problems in all theclubs he played for
and was appreciated (or really loved) by the supporters in these Clubs.

On the pitch, he is working hard.

I think he would prove real great addition to our front line if we would go for him
He probably wouldn't cost much money to us. (Pana bought it for 8.5 Million Euros ).

Moreover he made clear that he want to get to get back into the French National Team and in order to achieve that new french manager Laurent Blanc told him that he will only get a chance if he is back in a major league.........

Cissé was born in 1981 so will turn 30 this year.

He probably do not have many years of top football ahead of him (let'as say 3 or 4 years) and needs to get back very soon into action in a League he knows to achieve his objective ( getting top football to get back into the National team)

So English League will very probably be his preferred league.

I do not think Man U or Chelsea or even Man City would be interested by him.

Maybe Arsenal would be interested (considering Arsene is there).

But Djibril is probably too old for Arsene.....:)

Cissé refused to join the Toons or teams like that Villa, etc....

But i am sure that with the current team we get at Tottenham and considering our ambitions both for domestic football and into Europe competitions, he would come to us....

I think he is a real charisma and a natural leader which will fit perfectly the new status the Club wants to confirm.

Despite his 2 horrific injuries, he went though them stronger both physically and mentally and after this greek period where he did well but where conditions to be a footballer are "special",
I am sure he will prove to be a real hit in his next English Club ( I am convinced he'll be back in England this summer).

As a consequence, he would be a real good addition to our team for not much money.

And this would be nice if we could sign Didier Drogba with Cissé.

(Even if i know he wouldn't join us because Drogba has too much loyalty for Chelsea, so wouldn't come tu us if he must leave Cheslea)

We could get rid of Pav + Crouch and keep Defoe; get Cissé + any new young striker.(Benzema for me...if i could choose).

But Cissé has clear objective and he has always had great winning mentality in any club he went.

I'd like to see him leading our front line with the likes of Vdv, Bale, The Hudd or Modric to provide him with balls.

He would literally ran over defenses and bulldoze them.

His physical presence would accomodate perfectly .................Karim Benzema ........ would also speak french.

Lets imagine

Benzema Cissé

Bale VDV Lennon

And both would score many many goals.........

And considering , he loves fashion, London would be the perfect city for Cissé.

I could kill to see him in our white shirt.....

What are you thoughts about him ?? and

Would you like him at the Lane ?? (even as a 3 rd striker).

If your thing is head-down runs in the general direction of the corner flag, or shots from the halfway line when your partner's screaming for the ball, the Djerbil's yer man.

Sorry, Alex, but he was a disaster at Liverpool and not liked (to put it mildly) at Sunderland. No improvement on what we have.

I think we need better than him though, he'd probably do okay but if we want a player that's 30+ and can find the target then Anelka would be my preferred choice but only as a stop gap, neither of these would be signed by us though as their age and wages would be too high for Levy, we need a striker around the 25-26 age group with the ability to lead the line, and an upgrade on all three of our strikers, Defoe won't go anywhere as he recently stated he wants to finish his career here, pav's bound to go and crouch is a good possibility that he's off too, so a player like Hulk and connor Wickham would do for me.

Defoe (of whom I'm not a fan) has had a dreadful season, for reasons we can only speculate upon. Cissy's done splendidly in a league that's, well, Championship level if one wants to be charitable. In the EPL, he was mediocre at best. Did you actually watch any of his games for Liverpool and Sunderland?
