Does anyone still rate Walker?

I think he has the basic ingredients to succeed and I won't discount his potential to become more clinical when it comes to delivery and making decisions.

He is the kind of player that represents our mentality under poch; high energy and tries with less emphasis on finesse.

I think he is nailed on to start under poch.

I rate him and think he suits us. An upgrade would be hard to come by.

Fredericks does look good and so does walker-peters although it might be too soon for him.
Competition is healthy and yet as you say not sure if he can lose the brain farts, he needs to step up or be shipped out.

Walker-Peters looks a quite exciting talent - but ATM he needs to develop a bit physically, IMHO.

Originally started out as a winger. IMO, I would like him moved back there. With Walker-Peters/whoever behind him. We really need some alternatives for right midfield.

Really needs a spell on the sidelines

Cant reward these kind of performances with starts

Head to head as rbs this season vlad has been much better than him and hes isnt even a fullback

If we had a strong defence we could possibly carry him but we don't and we won't with that air head in the team. He's a liability in defence.

Our whole defense today was poor. Dier and Vertonghen were horrible on set pieces and could not compete with Leicesters physicality. Our fullbacks had very little positional awareness which often found them caught out. It was horrendous. Walker was terrible but apart from Rose having a few good moments and Dier/Vertonghen making a couple decent plays between the two of them, it was a performance that is incredibly worrying.

He has always lacked depth in the IQ department, but he is better than he is currently showing. I think we have to look to get real compeition for him even if we do not upgrade him totally

Everyone gets so excited about how young our team are, thinking the future is ours,
but players do not all continue to develop and some regress especially after their first bad injury.
Walker is a good example of the latter.

Time for the academy to do its job and produce the next youngster to be blooded.
No time for sentimentality with our new "logan's run" philosophy.

I really hope Yedlin settles in soon and gets his fitness up to what Poch is expecting, we really haven't got any other realistic options at right back until he's up to speed. Still think we let Naughton go six months too soon.

He is playing poorly right now. Whether there's a hangover from the injury or the hard working Lennon was masking his deficiencies I don't know but a little benching might do him the world of good right now.

The Lennon thing is a very good point, as the one aspect of Lennons game that had improved over the last few months was his defensive play. His positioning, tackling and tracking back probably did make up a lot of Walkers shortcomings, you're right.
