It's very simple: Shout at him without going beyond what even the most mindless of idiot would consider abusive: boos every time he touches the ball; cries of 'Judas', 'traitor', or 'loser'; cheering every mistake he makes. There are dozens of ways in which he can be abused without it being the type of abuse the Thought Police would crack down on. All it takes is a little creativity.

Persistent racist and abusive chants aimed at him when Tottenham played at Fratton Park last season sparked a police investigation

Hate to burst your bubble guys but if you sing about hanging a black man from a tree you might get called a racist. Just a hint there from your friendly neighbourhood bleeding heart liberal.

Build a bridge, cross it, and move on. Who cares anymore? it was 10 years ago, its not necessary, lets beat them by playing better football and scoring more goals and rise above it and just ignore him. I'm sure we can all acknowledge what is he done was deceitful and disrespectful but FFS seriously hang him from a tree really ??

Notice the Daily (Hate) Mail doesn't mention how those police charges were subsequently dropped...

The other lot would love it if we were made an example of (points docked for example) if racist/homopafic chants were heard and sadly in this day and age I could see it happening especially as I seem to recall stuff being thrown at Fabregas last season, even booing is a waste of time listening to Defoe on goals on Sunday he reckons it actually makes you play better just to prove them wrong.

Get behind the team and forget about him, by constantly being abusive towards him or even Berbatov to a lesser extent you are actually making the game about 37,000 people Vs one individual rather than 37,000 against the other 10 players who are going to do their best to beat us up after the Barca game, also is it worth it? You're keeping the bloke in the spotlight and on the back pages 9 years after the event.

I'll be cheering the blokes in white (the only colour worthy of being in North London) fun fact for the game, Chinese brides traditionally wear red wedding dresses for good luck, no mention of bridesmaids but there we are.

how bout cheering for our team instead of booing the opposition?

just a thought

Always irks me when I hear "stand up if you hate arse" more than actual spurs chants. Yes we all hate arse but ffs how is that going to help support our team?

I would boo him at the game like I would boo a pantomime villain at the theatre. But my hatred for him has diminished greatly since 2001. I guess I grew out of it as I've got far more other important things/responsibilities to worry about now.

But I fully understand why some of our fans "hate" him still. Although some of their actions are still way over the top imo i.e singing that song about him, as it make us (supporters of spurs) sound/look pathetic

i think after years of constant booing and abusing the piece of turd,i actually think it goes through one ear and out the other as far as that w*****r is concerned.

he proved it many a year that he is souless, even last month, trying to squeeze more money out of skint pompey, while the tea lady was getting sacked from her £100 per week job......
but its hard not to abuse him, even though we should move on.

even though i agree the sol song isnt ment to be racist,i wouldnt sing it,and risk being nicked,,would you want to miss the F.A. cup final for that piece of shit?

maybe no abuse aimed at him would have a better effect....he would probably miss it and realise he MEANS FUCK ALL TO US!

I disagree - i think it clearly gets to him and affects him game.

One more reason to give him everything we've got. The other reason being that this bastard, more than any other player in history, deserves it, though Barca fans may argue with some some justification that Luis Figo was equally deserving!!

So who's bringing the pigs head???:)

I'm not going to move on. I'm going to give him stick until he retires, because that's how these things work. You see, even after all these years, he's still a ****.

A simple chant of "Sol...what's the score" when we go 4-0 up should do the trick. Only at 4-0 will I feel comfortable enough to start the banter.

I'm more interested in abusing Boeteng at the moment. Once that game is done with we can move onto that fucking **** Sol ****bell. Then it's that **** John Terry, then that **** Dimitar Berbatov, then that **** Kevin Davies, then that **** Emmanuel Adebayor, then that **** David Nugent.
