I may have missed it, but I dont think anyone on this thread has mentioned his price tag (other than me now). Thats good, as I always said he wasn't responsible for it.

I am just glad that he is now doing what we all knew he could do. Long may it continue

Ledge.

Still had some bloke behind me going "he's still shit though" to his mate who was pointing out that more than likely we would have drawn this game or snatched a loss without him. Some people are just thick, I guess.

Glad to see others believe too - he'll be in our colours a lot longer than Mr. Sulkypants. So  for Benty. Ledge up.

I loved the way he skinned Hreidarsson for O'Hara's goal, that was the Bent of old & the Bent I love.

He's now scored effectively 3 legit goals (nothing wrong with is against City) in 4 league games from the bench. I'm sorry, but he's doing a great job, with the limited time he's had to play with the team.

Did JD ever come off the bench and change a game??

He did a couple of times yea, but he was also a previously well etablished player who lost his place on merit. Bent has never had such a priviledge, he's started his Spurs career on the bench & has been expected to be Berbatov when he's come on.

It appears we are starting to play to his strengths a little more & it shows by the fact that he's starting to put them away.

Up to his goal, I didn't think Bent was doing that much. Got beaten in the air by Hreidarsson and didn't show much movement. One inspired touch later and he's transformed. Hudd's lofted pass was superb but the way he battled past his marker and laid the ball back showed what he can do.

I wonder what Defoe was telling him in the tunnel before the game?

probably what's the comfiest seat on the bench.

That's Tottenham (or just football) fans for you.

I'm considering getting D. Bizzle 23 on my Tottenham shirt. I'm a **** like that.

Me and my mate noticed against Chelsea that he didn't touch the ball much. So we watched again to see how much of the ball he would see, believe his first touch was the header for the goal, and second touch set up O'Hara for the 2nd.

Not a bad return!

7 goals in 14 games (some of them on from sub) ain't bad at all in my opinion. give him a run and he'll get you goals
