There's no clear plan in our transfer targets they are all reactive. Maybe that's the plan!

With Kanes injury you would hope there would be some reaction!

It took Kane to have an injury.

Personally we need to find a Sterling Mane Salah type wing forward ideally left footed.

Mourinho mentioned our strategy basically said we’re not the big fish and waiting for movement. Then you look at Liverpool even Leicester activities it’s disappointing how we’ve been allowed to stagnate we have missed some great talent ie Grealish that was unforgivable

Good player
but so was Soldado.
Good scoring record and pedigree
(Barcelona, BD, Spain at all levels)
but never seems to quite settle.

I would prefer an oven ready
Premiership player ,
He is not
an assured instant success
and this seems more of
a longer term signing.

Probably all nonsense anyway.

I work colleague of mine is a massive Dortmund fan and he constantly moans about Paco not being good enough. That said, Paco might need a change of scenery etc. And after all he'd just be a deputy to Son I'd imagine.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

He'd only be a loan player apparently so if he wasn't expected to make a fairly quick impact then it would seem pointless.

We aren't the big fish but we are right behind them. We should start acting like it.

I mentioned in the Kane thread that he would be a decent option. He isnt Kane but offers us something different and is a wise stop gap. A signing like this will always be reactive given the Kane injury was unforeseen

The funny thing is, if this Kane injury happened two weeks ago, we would have seen Ibrahimovic here

How do you know? Do we publish plans? Are you privy to internal comms?
Well, Mourinho has said we're not in the market , which Levy then backed up.

I'm privy to the fact we didn't sign players for a year and messed about with Grealish.

We did not do our due diligence with image rights when attempting to buy Dybala. Allowed Llorente to leave without replacement.

We've also failed with player contracts running down.

In fairness to Levy he had much bigger things to deal with our full focus was the stadium build.
