It doesn't actually say it is done though, let's wait and see.

Fiorentina have now agreed terms for a Dusan Vlahovic contract renewal and the deal is pending some terms with the Serbian’s agents.
Corriere Fiorentino have reported today that there is growing optimism at the Artemio Franchi regarding a renewal for the striker and they’ve got an agreement on a new five-year and Vlahovic will earn €3 million per season. On top of that, there will be a €70 million release clause in the deal too.
It’s now just a case of finding an agreement with his agents, when it comes to the bonuses or commission involved.
The report claims that there is peace at Fiorentina, despite Inter’s interest in Vlahovic. They consider the striker non-transferrable and even if there is any chance of him leaving this summer, Fiorentina have already planned Andrea Belotti as a replacement.
It has been stated that white smoke could come soon and while Tottenham remain interested in Vlahovic, Fiorentina are looking to silence these rumours by handing him a new deal.
What?! You actually read the article instead of just reacting to the headline? Shocking!

Some people on here seem very optimistic about the chances of Kane remaining at the club and slotting straight back into the team as if nothing has happened. If he continues to sulk or is sold, as seems pretty likely, we are facing the prospect of having no striker for the whole season.
If Kane stays he cares way too much about personal accolades (golden boot, beating shearer's record, etc) to waste a season, while Spurs simply can't afford to let their let their best player rot on the bench or the reserves. Kane might miss the 2 or 3 matches, but once it becomes clear he's staying and the window closes I think the matter will naturally resolve itself.

I don't think it's overly optimistic, rather just realistic given it's in everyone's best interests.

I'd be absolutely stunned if Paratici, or Levy for that matter, let us go an entire season without a striker. For me that's just an extremely pessimistic outlook. Even in our darkest times, we've always had at least one shitty Frazier Campbell as a last resort.

So that report says his new contract is worth €3m a year which is €60k, l know we wouldn't have any problem topping £60k a week and as it's euros it's not even £60k.

Not sure when it all changed, but I remember the days of another club being shown to have had direct contact with another's player being an absolute tapping up scandal. Now you just go to the player first as a matter of course. Or even just tap them up in a sodding press conference. Nuts.

I expect we have made Fiorentina aware we're just not down to the nitty gritty with them yet. I don't believe for a moment we are talking to him having been told we mustn't by his club.

footballers only pay tax on 50% of their income in Italy for 5 years I believe which means then need to earn a lot more in the premier league to match the take home pay

I'm pretty sure, like it or not, that clubs agree terms with players first so they don't waste time negotiating with a club only to find out the player either doesn't want to come or wants to much dosh.

Hopefully the chairman there doesn't get too mad or this will get messy

It seems like we have so far taken a but scattered approach based on whether or not we think the deal with the player or the club is easier. (Kounde kind of being my baseline). That said it could be we are discussing with Vlahovic first because we know he has that offer on the table with Fiorintina and we want to understand the nature of it and also if there's any existing clauses in his current contract.

Im interested to know what point of view we are approaching this. Are we looking to sign as a kane replacement OR as another striker on the roster?

Is vlahovic an out and out no9 or can he play the wf role? Potentially a rwf? If we were to switch to a 343 for defensive solidity could we see a vlahovic/kane/son forward line?

Hopefully additional to Kane, bit if Kane goes then we'd certainly need another too

He isn't suited to play on the wings. So, yes, he is an out and out CF

That would be ideal, him coming in and getting upto speed before taking thd lead role once kane goes next season (if thats how it pans out)

Not so sure he will want to warm the bench tbh, so im not so sure.
