As of yesterday (at least) his agent was trying to create a kind of bidding war (who benefits?). Read into that the way you want.

I guess more so the player? Both us and Atletico could keep trying to offer him the better contract. But then could be a bidding war for the transfer fee also.

We aren’t buying this guy unless we sell Kane anyway so no idea why people would get their knickers in a twist. I’d rather keep Kane than this guy anyway. Even a wantaway Kane will still smash in 20 league goals for us, his own pride will see to that. There’s no guarantee this guy would.
You're right mate but I think some have gotten too carried away with the positive Itk this summer and did actually think we are going to have a lot of shiny new toys this summer and while we have signed 3 players still think people believed the rumours that we are bringing in another 3-4. Might be slowly dawning on them that this may not happen so we're at the start of that anger phase.
It's been the same over last 4-5 years that positive noises come out from Itk / media and some fans take that for gospel and then when we don't have a big turnover then the fans that believed it all instead of taking all the info with required level of salt then get upset and vent on here. Kind of looks like the same thing is happening now even though in my mind we have had a good window.

All ITK/ media stuff needs salt, if you apply that then it's bloody fun reading it all but some people forget that and that leads to the meltdowns on deadline day.

Man this is always fucking happening, I've had enough, all positivity then when it comes down to the final stretch everything just goes tits up. I still have confidence we can get our targets, but everything is just looking pretty bleak right now, this is meant to be a massive week for us so I'd assume we'll hear something concrete today hopefully

The front page of todays Corriere dello Sport said that Ronaldo has asked to leave Juve because he wants to join Man City

I’d quite like to see Spurs enter (and win) a bidding war. Levy never did them - would like to see how Fabio handles it.

I know everyone keeps talking about us not spending so much on a 'Back up.' However, there is a point in time where we have to plan for the future and make a purchase like this. Its very likely Kane leaves next summer if he stays this season. By next season Vlahovic will probably be out of our price range. Sometimes you need to bite the bullet now and bed them in before its way too late. It makes way more sense to buy him now even if Kane stays.

This is my issue too. I see this transfer as a replacement for Kane whether he stays this season or not and would save us having to scramble around for a suitable replacement next summer. If there's a belief within that Kane could stay beyond this season then fair enough but I very much doubt that's the case.

It does feel like transfers in general are hinging on something, everything has gone quiet.

A season of him playing/training alongside the best No.9 in world football can only be a positive education for him. Watching, learning. Then Kane could go with the fans blessing for contributing to his eventual successors ability.

Or, he'll have a bad season and be branded the next Kezman.

There’s no way he’s coming here. Look at this from his perspective. He’s a young man who’s stature is growing. Of course he wants CL etc. he can hold out one more year and have his pick or go to Atletico Madrid if all these rumors are true.

All these Italian media articles really bullshit to me. Just leaks from the club to drive up the price.

I’m sure Tottenham would love to bring him on but I just don’t see him coming. Need to get in CL and we can attract upcoming players like this one.
