Well if he is/was in London for any prolonged period of time you would assume that if we had any interest in him we would have arranged some sort of meeting, through the proper channels of course, and maybe even show him around the ground. Clubs show players around their facillities all the time without first agreeing a fee with the parent club - if ITK is to believe we did this with Chadli and Benteke.

Mineiro are desperate to sell, and if Bernard doesn't really want to go Shakhtar then maybe we can force an agreement over a slightly lower fee on them.

This is the thing - Bernard has already said doesn't want to leave but AM are forcing him out as they need to sell. If he doesn't want Shaktar and we are the only other club bidding then surely AM will have to negotiate with us?
