Levy bidding silly money knowing that the player will never agree to personal terms, just to be able to say to Pochettino "Amigo, we tried Hombre!". It's not like it hasn't happened before.

Would be a real signal of intent if he just made himself too expensive for United and lowered his wage demands for spurs -can't imagine it though
Of the three players we are seriously linked with I am most excited about coutinho-he would rip it up in the premier league( be a nightmare for Liverpool)a great player with a lot to prove.
All three would be just not possible-but a nice dream.

So season ticket sales not going so well ? I would imagine that this is all about the doubters getting exited enough to renew.
A piece of advice " don't hold your breath while waiting for any of these suggested transfers to happen "
If the leopard does change his spots (Levy) then I will firmly apologise .

Season ticket window closed May 15th, I will positively hold my breath until tomorrow if it's all the same to you. Awaiting apology.

Just because the window closed does not mean the take up of renewals was high . As in other windows there will be tickets available.
I am not saying that for definite that sales are down I am just saying that Levy has a record of dangling a big signing just before a transfer window and we end up with nothing.
I am a fan of Levy but this modus operandi cannot be denied because it happens window after window.
As I say I am pro Levy and with all my heart I hope he makes a mug of my opinion. I won't hold my breath.

We sound out the players and their agents, spend all that time agreeing personal terms, submitting multi-million pound bids, flying to Miami to talk to the owners of Barca etc all as a ruse to get fans to buy season tickets? Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds?

Do you realise that this same scenario is repeated almost every window and I agree it sounds ridiculous but never the less it is a repeating theme IE bid for players that get the fans exited but end up signing no one if you would like to say this does not happen then I would with respect disagree . This is why we have one of the lowest net spends because Danny boy does not want to speculate .
So as you say ridiculous .if the chairman wants to change the habits of a lifetime then I will applaud him and it will give him some kudos.
I am not making the scenario up as its a matter of fact.
What does sound ridiculous is expecting the leopard to change his spots. I for one would be delirious if Levy proves me wrong and be more than happy to eat humble pie.Come on Danny take the plunge.

Pretty much my thoughts, although it gives the Arse fans a good laugh.

Did you get excited? All the rumours and gossip only to be let down?

Don't expect anything. Treat rumours as entertainment rather than facts. Then at the end of the window look at what business we have done.

At the moment i am well chuffed. If the squad stays the same (and clarke does well at leeds) i'll be a very happy man.
