Palace have lost Zaha and there's talk of Olise going to Chelsea due to a clause. Can't see them be willing to lose all 3 in one window unless they get an offer for Eze they can't refuse. Doesn't leave them too long to find replacements and just feel losing 3 big players in one window could see them dragged into a relegation fight.

Feels like a player we go for next summer when he’s only got one year left. I’d honestly be gobsmacked if CP sell now.
100% agree, I think this is a non-starter, they'll want £100mil + crazy figures.

Next summer perhaps as you say.

Top player though and will have another good season for Palace.

I don't rate him as highly as some when it comes to football ability but as a person he's Really good guy. Very humble and charitable kid.
Just based on that I'd like to sign him.

Hope he’s smart and doesn’t extend with them.
Supposedly he’s already turned down extensions offers. Pretty good bet he will be looking to move on/up. With Base in our pocket, or maybe Levy is in theirs, I think there’s an extremely good chance we would get him for reasonable (yet probably still pretty expensive looking at the market) fee next summer.

Eze would absolutely shine in this system. Imagine him out there today instead of Skipp for example, linking with Maddison and Bissouma

Edit: Certainly not at £70-80m though oof.
Tbf I could imagine Gio doing that as well. Question is if Ange will actually look to play 2 creative minded players alongside a defensive one. Hopefully he will as I’d like to see it.

Yeah this is a very tough deal to do. As has been mentioned, they would want around £75m for him. I believe they have an interest in both Spence & Tanganga which could be helpful, but it's a very tough one.
And this is why we will never push on under this regime. This isn’t a dig at the info by the way.
It’s only a tough one because we won’t pay what they want.
caicedo is a tough one, rice is a tough one - but they get them because they pay the money.
We will obtain the more cost effective option and hope it proves as successful as the one we really want.

40 million plus any of the deadwood they want? (Dier, Davies, Sanchez, Spence, Tanganga etc.) If anything happens to Maddison we're up a certain creek...

What about Lo Celso?

I do like Eze, but he's a similar player to Maddison - or at least he'd play a similar role - and I'm not sure we can justify the massive fee it would be, in particular when we have Lo Celso as well

If there's a clause, then why not go for him instead??

Not sure Lo Celso is tha same kind of player and seems a bit fragile for the premiership. I'm hoping he plays with Maddison. He couldn't have done worse than Skipp yesterday.

Even if we don’t go for him ( this year ) I hope we are still able to sell them Tanganga and Spence. That should raise about £25m

I think West Ham will offer 70/80 million for him when Paqueta goes to City. Interesting to see if he wants to go there

If he had 1 year left on his deal we could be in with a shout but don’t think for anywhere near £75mil that we’d deal at that price.

That being said what would people’s thoughts be if we got Eze for say £60mil and Orban for £40mil then remainder of our budget goes on the 3rd CB?

Id be pretty excited if we signed Eze and Orban, although still wouldn’t really solve our lack of a proper RW of real pace and quality.

I’ll tell you this much - if we spend 100m on two forwards, the budget for another CB will be barely more than a packet of crisps

Orban won’t be 40. But Eze isn’t worth 60/70. Not for us anyway.

We should be getting a top class player, perfectly suited to the role we want for that sort of cash

Eze is excellent, but not the right position for what we need, and certainly not for that money

Agree that’s a bit overpriced but in this mad market you can see why Palace would want at least that.

If we spend total £100mil on two forwards that’s basically all the Kane money, I’m not sure that would leave us nothing for another CB, assuming we offload say 5 of the 7 mentioned that should fetch us around £30-40mil that we can use.
