do you reckon they'll be a driver waiting from every premier league club to pick him up from the airport.

He will be like the fella on Take me out. No Lightey no Likey!

How did we blow it? Other than the fact that we don't have 200K per week to pay him, what other reason did we blow it?

the lad said he needs to play champions league for a start so blowing a slim chance we had of nciking him when not getting in there.

been based in london is a massive selling point for any player and expecially french ones imo. his agent im sure will try n get him best deal possible but at end of day im not sure money is a big factor for him right now. he is still very young and wants to play week in week out. i think the 200@week wages talk is bullshit but it will and prob should be over the 100k.

should ahve pushed the boat out for this kid. goals and assists all over the shop. im not sure system suits him at man city and think they will look elsewhere for signings. united have cahnce but again have plenty of wingers.

we will blame fact though that he went to club who offered most but even if money wasnt factor he still would not join us. fact.

p.s i hope im totally wrong and joins us today haha

The fact that Chelsea have just won the CL would be a factor I would imagine :) (aside from the obvious wages)

It's definitely Chelsea.

And btw, odds of him going there have now shortened to 1/6!

I'm sure we tried everything in our powers to get him but we can't compete with Chelsea or the Manchester clubs for players like him.

I really don't think 3rd would have made a difference to us. I honestly don't. The gyspies wanted him, and he mentioned them at the start, but it hasn't helped them and they can pay 100k per week wages and first team football.

I am a cynic, but he has been seduced, partly by the CL win, but money aswell.

a serious statement of intent by chelsea.

when is last time we had one of those at spurs!?

could be playing for 4th spot only next year if chelsea get him.

Chelsea have a lot of rebuilding to do, I would expect them to spend a100 million minimum this summer.

i don't think that makes you cynical mate, just realsitic. Despite all he apparently said in the past about money not being his main focus, when the figures are actually on the table it must make a huge difference.

Chelsea play awful football though. Signing Hazard and Marin is not going to change that suddenly, also something has to give as you cannot play Mata, Lampard, Marin and Hazard in the same team as you would get violated.

yeah cynical as you know what here too.. money talks but when and if we had chance we should have taken it . we had chnace to nail arsenal too in league but fucked that away . i think losing hazard could just be the start of it personally. modric situation will rear its ugly head in a few weeks and spurs better be ready for it. once he sees players like hazrd joining he will demand to be on it 2.

So they're buying Hazard for c. £35m, they've bought Marin for £20m - how are they going to fit them in alongside Mata, and how can they pay the wages and still adhere to the FFP rules?

It's a joke that teams have that much sway - they and City are ridiculous
