No way does he go that cheaply when he has three years left on his contract.
I guess it depends on how much bayer need the money . I must admit I would have thought 35m would have been much more his value

If rumours are true, it's nice to see us address one of our weakest positions early on

Done some more research and he reminds me so much of John Stones. The composure bordering on nonchalance in possession. Effortless, progressive, accurate ball playing with either foot. Top athlete who glides across the pitch. Very good timing and positioning defensively. Like John Stones in previous years though, there is a sloppiness about his defensive play that shows up at times. Not completing defensive actions with conviction at all times, 1v1s lacking refinement. Could and probably will become as good as Stones is today, which is in the very top tier of CBs in the world. Just needs to clean up some rough edges to his game.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. Would be exciting to see Ange try something similar to Pep’s new 3-2-4-1 with Tapsoba playing the Stones role. Realistically think Romero could play the Dias role, with Emerson playing on the right and Davies [new LCB?] playing on the left.

I haven’t seen Tapaoba before so only idea of him is through watching YouTube videos.

Only going by that , I like him a lot. He always looks balanced. Neither unbalanced or on the heels… his body positioning is perfect when receiving ball or running back while defending. Certainly not the Bambi Sanchez we have in back line
