Who knows? I mean outside of the prem apparently nobody has any money. And we all keep falling for it.
Yep there’s definitely one market for PL clubs buying players from abroad, and a different market for clubs from abroad buying/selling amongst themselves. Makes it very difficult to sell once we’re brought in the price-inflated player.

Presumably we currently have both CB deals advanced to the point where either could likely be sorted relatively quickly. Perhaps the reason we have not pulled the trigger on at least one is that we are worried that if we were to do so, the other’s club would immediately move to sell him to someone else. So even if we were then to end up with the money from selling Harry Kane, we’d still miss out on one of our top two choices.

Just make one deal conditional on the other.
IE: Quietly negotiate & agree terms for Kane BUT it is conditional on Spurs getting one or both CB's.
Once the CB's are confirmed, then Kane's contract is fulfilled.

Both deals done simultaneously.

And that's how I understood it by how it was worded at the time. I don't know much about the finance side of things but AG is convinced it's still visibly there and available.
Agree, as far as i'm aware from listening to AG there was an extension put onto the time limit of it's availability so it didn't all need to be drawn by Jan 2023, so that £50m is definitely there to be drawn upon according to him (and he actually checked with company house online in the middle of recording his latest video on Friday night and it hadn't been withdrawn).

I might be getting these things muddled, but i thought i remembered him mentioning that a clubs owners were able to inject £100m into a club each season, and maybe that was why only £100m was drawn last season, with the assumption that at least the remaining £50m would be used this season. If that is correct maybe (and i'm just chucking a theoretical out there) the timing of the 'next' cash injection is from August 1st ? Not long to wait to see if that's accurate or not.

It is a game changer it has changed the game from football to any other sport or leisure activity you can make money out of.

To the detriment of what used to be a football club.

The stadium has enabled us to be 4th biggest net spender in the last 5 years. So, it has changed things.

It doesn't change the fact that our owners want us to be self sustaining, which means we are 1 of a handful of clubs playing with a disadvantage.

It cannot change our poor decision making in terms of signings.

How fast did we buy the 7 players when we sold Bale? We don't sign 3 players at once!

Sad state of affairs when making a couple of much needed CB signings must mean that our best player has been sold, but unfortunately I think it's probably the case here. Doubt it's a coincidence that this has all suddenly picked up the same week we have our big meeting with Bayern.
