Great news.

Lets hope they can come to some sort of a compromise with his wages.

Just read this, this is great news really as it sounds like there is a real chance something could be done.

We've sold the club to him, that's all we could do really as we can't compete financially with the real big hitters.

Go on Ade, play for Spurs for a few years then go to China or wherever and pick up your pot of gold with a few medals to go with it playing for the Spurs.

That would be phenomenal. We really need to make it happen. He is used to our play now. Would love our forward line next season to be:

Adebayor, Remy, Rhodes

with VdV supporting.

Awesome news.

Would be the most important signing of the summer (along with Modric's replacement).

Ball is mostly in Ade's court on this... his wages are going to be the biggest issue. Can't see Man City being overly fussed about letting him go, though they might try and be stubborn on price, knowing we are a bit desperate.

Seeing as Ade and Bale have seemed to enjoy one another on the pitch, could Ade moving permanently making Bale staying more likely?

Would be a real sign of intent for any potential summer signings. The man is a well known name in world football and this could help convince someone who is unsure about a move to us!

I think it would help for sure (y)

Not sure Bale would go during this summer tbh but if we can get Ades Sig on a 2 or 3 year deal then I think it would show intent on our part and make it a hard decision when Bale does decide to move on.

City have to sell:

1) He only has 1 year left on his contract, so is a c.£10m asset that will become valueless.
2) His wages are £8.8m pa - not a sum they can write off under FFP.

Making progress with Verts, Ade, Leandro and Remy is all very encouraging in terms of filling the Modric hole and keeping Bale.
