This is likely to attract some vitriol from football fans who have for sometime been displeased with Adebayor as a persona and/or on the pitch.

However, whilst it is sad to see his personal circumstances splashed over the front pages (at his request), I feel quire a lot of sympathy for his, as a person aside from football.

Family disputes are common, but his form, absence from training or squads means his personal circumstances are often highly publicised and offered more scrutiny than others,

Whatever our feelings towards Ade, his employer ought to offer him adequate support. It certainly appears that THFC have done this where possible, without knowing the ins and outs.

I wonder why now.. why not during Monaco, Arsenal, Man City or Real Madrid. He says it's been going on a long time. Is it simply that it's now become too much? or something that we're missing...

I don't care that he is so rich and has a safe and fairly successful life as a footballer (I know that he has been unsuccessful compared to some other top professionals in the premier league, e.g. Rooney, but compared to thousands of other players around the world). Money helps, but doesn't buy you happiness. I think the guy clearly needs professional help. He should (and could) use the money he has to hire the best professionals in London (or in the world really) to help him out.

Why spend your money when you can get the best advice known to mankind on Facebook?

Why does he always spout this stuff when the transfer window is about to open?
He can't do his usual by upping his performance as he's not playing so he's resorted to the press.
Maybe it was the press who approached him?
Regardless of how I feel about him as a player, it's very sad that he has contemplated suicide and going through such troubles. Football is secondary to someone's life.

All he keeps saying is that my father said I should build a house for each one of them. I don’t think my father said that.

:ROFLMAO: His brother's a fucking trip, man. What a fucking nightmare.

No wonder he's happy to languish in the doldrums here picking up a fat wage...he's fucking skint! lol

Probably got a book out soon.

Won't be able to offload him even on a free transfer at this point. He's poison, probably gonna have to buy out his contract or significantly subsidize his wages if we can offload him.

he's obviously got bigger issues than football to deal with. If he's not going to cut his family off then he needs to be talking to them not posting to Facebook.

Hopefully he can get it sorted (doubtful as it seems these issues are deeply ingrained in his family relationships) and we can be wishing him good luck at Villa.

Hmm I feel awkward about hating him now. Strange feeling...I can't hate him and I don't like the lad either. Never had this with one of our players before. What a bloody disastrous signing.
