Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Kyle Walker have been named in the England squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Switzerland at Wembley on June 4.

Kyle also joins Danny Rose in the U21 squad for this summer’s European Championships after the final 23-man party was named on Monday.

JD kicked off the Three Lions’ qualification campaign with a hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Bulgaria back in September. But neither he or ‘Crouchy’ featured in the 2-0 win over Wales in Cardiff last time out in March.

However, with Wayne Rooney suspended for the clash and Andy Carroll ruled out through injury, both will be looking to play their part in this vital encounter.

Kyle, meanwhile, is still looking to win his first international cap at senior level having first been named by Fabio Capello in the last two squads.

And it is Denmark where he and Danny will travel for the U21 Championships, which start on June 12 with a game against Spain.

Interesting Walker is in and Dawson isnt.

Lol at the strike force... Bent, Defoe, Crouch and Zamora. Is that the most lame England strikeforce ever?

It's a sad endictment on the state of english football that Defoe & Crouch make the squad. I'm surprised Sturridge isn't ahead of at least one of them

Surprised no Dawson, and that front line is woeful. Bent to start on his own please.

I'd still pick Lennon every time over Walcott.

No Rooney or Dawson? Odd.

Awful strike force, but a 4-3-3 with Bent central and Young and either Johnson or Walcott on the wings is still decent.

Is daws injured?
after playing well in the last game its strange he is dropped altogether.
Also - where is Rooney? suspended?
it does look a poor squad, especially up front.

All present or former Spurs players..... How our 2 got in is a joke, really goes to show how poor this England side really is.....

Nice to see Capello sticking to his 'pick players in form' promise...

Crouch and Defoe I am amazed still get in the squad, good that Kyle is back in, seems Capello really rates him. But yes is a surprise for me that Daws is not in the squad, and dare I say it wheres Ledley?

If Sturridge is available then that strike force is absolutely laughable.

Dawson is better than most of those defenders, too, and in good form.

Lennon and Walcott probs about the same at the mo, but he's better than Johnson I reckon.

Should we not be whinging that Walker is playing too many games? Being in both squads and all that.

What's good for the bespectacled goose etc etc.

Crouch is a different animal for England though and Defoe on his day.... but if picking to form, then neither deserve a call up right now.

It'll probably be Bent on his own but Zamora has been an absolute beast for Fulham these last few games. He is in the squad on merit.

Gutted for Daws.
