Kicking a team out of tournament would be a bold move. You'd hope it would put a stop to a lot of the violence but some "fans" just love to fight. It's how they get their buzz.

Ok, I,m going to preface this by saying that I know the UK has a neo-nazi problem but it seems to fairly minor compared with other countries in mainland Europe.

Now my question. Given the history of the Nazis in Poland, Russia, France, etc. etc. why is there this resurgence of neo fascism? Is it due to more nationalistic views because of immigration issues or what? Are these people totally unaware of what happened in their countries under the Nazis or are they just not taught history in schools?

I understand this might be better suited to a general forum, but it seemed to fit in here.

It`s a big paradox. Especially when it comes to neo-nazis in countries like Poland and Russia. The slavic people were considered as "untermensch" ("low life people") by the Hitler regime. I don`t know why it has grown there. It doesn`t make sense. It`s a huge problem in old DDR too.

But, what I find weird is that the english in general are the most polite and friendly people in Europe. I always feel welcome and safe in England. People are willing to help and are smiling. Suddenly, when I see english on vacation, it`s often the opposite situation.

I`ve seen english standing and screaming in the middle of the day on canal boat trips in Amsterdam etc. Stupid! Noone else is acting like that.

Well, I`ve also seen problematic germans acting disgusting and shouting vulgar crap to people at a hard rock festival in Belgium, so it`s not just an english problem. And as we`ve seen lately, the russians are worse.

But, the english (some/few english off course) seem to like to provoce. A part of me tells me that they deserved some beating from the russians when they act like that. But, the russians would probably start fights anyway. But, if these english hooligans or wannabes start provocing and start fights, they really should be prepared for consecvenses (most of all they deserve to be sent right back home). The Russians deserve to be banned. They are too voilent..

I wonder if it has become a kind of tradition? Do some english think that this is the way the must behave to be a cool football fan since many generations before them have done exactly the same?

They exist in England. They are just watered down within the general populous. Unfortunately when they travel it becomes more obvious the morons exist

I see Mrs Vardy was in the thick of the action. Good job there were no orientals around.

Only 1 way to sort it out...Throw England and Russia out...along with the clubs out of of Euro club comps. Then take the World cup off the Russians. They wouldn't be long addressing the problem then. I'm Irish and Id be deeply ashamed if our fans where involved with something like that. Why spend all that hard earned cash to go on a dream holiday and fight?

Kicking us out of the tournament could be seen as a show of mercy compared to watching the team struggle to get out of the group before being knocked out in the 2nd round. At least Kane would get a decent rest over the summer.

Germany and Ukraine fighting now. Add that to the list of England, Russia, N. Ireland and Poland.

Kick them all out, it's the only solution

Yep, in fact, the Premier League and Football League should be abolished.

Northern Ireland National Team fans accompany a Poland national football team fan to the hospital after being attached by French hooligans.

I'm surprised the French ultras attaching NI & Poland fans didn't make the news

Lets see. Young men. Alcohol. National Pride. Lets put them all together in a relatively confined space and see what happens.
