Spurs arrived in Melbourne today and were also without Ben Davies, Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Hugo Lloris after they were given extra time off, while Jan Vertonghen is out injured.

Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen are in the squad for International Champions Cup friendlies against Juventus next Tuesday and Atletico Madrid next Friday.

Bentaleb and Pritchard likely injured as otherwise likely to have gone to add relative experience (v Amos, Walkes) even if they were leaving.

I'm surprised England players not being taken mainly for marketing purposes - even if only playing for 15 mins in each match. Guess Poch wants them doing intensive pre-season training whilst rest do the tour

Poch has to figure out who he needs to take a look at. Don't forget it was this time last year when he started playing Dier in midfield, I'll admit I said it was madness, so he may do something similar. Pleased to see Edwards, Winks, Onomah and Harrison getting a chance. Hope he can unearth another gem.

Spending $1000 to see the Athletico game - really frustrated that 9 starters from last year not playing.

thats a shame as I'm going to the Atletico match, though I think it best if those players didn't travel - it takes a lot out of you.

Players on Euro duty were never going to make this trip. Gives some of the other squad players a chance to show the manager something and the Euro players to start getting fitness levels back up back at the training ground. At least the 2 new signings will get a chance to show what they can do.

Yap it's a disappointment some of the first team are not making the trip, as a fan these players are so seldom in your country let alone in your part of the world. But it guess it's a way to "reward" those players who have worked hard these pass few months.

Anyway atleast the 2 new signings will be there. Technically it's their first match in spurs colours since the rest of the friendies were behind close doors. That's something to look forward too.
