ENIC are going nowhere. It’s not like when Sugar was here and fan pressure saw him cash in. We’re valued at over a billion with huge debt, nobody’s gonna rock up and suddenly buy us. It’s been near on 3 years and couldn’t find someone to sponsor the stadium, so to buy the whole set up when still in midst of a pandemic is fanciful.
Best we can hope for is some outside investment and dilution of ENIC monopoly and that Levy gives up control over first team affairs

It is quite obvious that Tottenham have been badly mismanaged in recent years, and that comes down to Levy. The fact we ended up losing our manager the week before a Cup final and a very inexperienced coach tries to pick up the pieces is embarrassing. If you managed a top Corporation in the same manner you would lose your position very quickly. He gets away with it because the company is not publicly listed. if it was he would have been pushed years ago.

Fucking embarrassing from our owners today

Decide to bring in Jose to win us some silverware after THIRTEEN YEARS. Sack him a week before a fucking cup final and place a lost little boy in charge

Couldn’t make this shit up!

Absolutely spot on - exactly what I was saying to a mate of mine after the game. Bonkers decision.
Jose had to go (I think we all agree on that), but the timing was absurd as was the choice of replacement.
Smacks to me of Levy wanting a puppet for the rest of the season.
As always this football club is an absolute shambles. 5 games left to salvage the season. I’d be surprised if we mustered 7 points.

The one constant in all of this is ENIC. They are just fine with things as money, infrastructure and land are why they are in it . They are not going to put the investment into the playing side.

If they were not prepared to do it 3 or so years ago when we were genuine contenders and just needed that last push why the fuck would they do it now.

Look 3 years ago when we had an up-and-coming team we failed Poch in the transfer window, but if the players he wanted didn't want to come he should have had plan B's. we can't force players to join us when they have the chance to join Barcelona or Juventus. when Man C got took over it took them nearly 5 years to pick up their 1st trophy and had to spend over a billion to do so.

how do you expect us to match that?

if we stayed in the old stadium we don't have the income to buy top players, because we can't afford the top wages. even if we did buy those players in that window there is no guarantee they would have even worked or settled, we might have not even reached a CL final.

Money doesn't guarantee success because if it did Chelsea and Man C would win a share of the 3 trophies in this country every year. we definitely need to sort our scouting system out, we need a DOF and Levy does need to take a back seat, and we now need to find a manager that can get us competing and hope Kane does a Shearer and stay at his boyhood club

I’d argue money does guarantee success. Can’t win everything, but win more than your (un)fair share. Chavs and Citeh account for 80%+ of domestic trophies in last decade I’d imagine

Well, both teams since they got taken over have both spent near on 2b to do it. I know from the time we were discussing the outrage of furlowing our staff that Joe Lewis is valued at 4b. I don't know the value of ENIC, but Joe Lewis also has investments in another 199 companies, so not really sure how much he would chuck out of his own money if they were to really back us. I do believe if Lewis was to invest, Levy would have to match 15% I think.

the thing is both Abramovic who is owed 1b at least by Chelsea and the Sheik, both throw pretty much their dirty money at it, I don't know how much dirty money ENIC has, but as a club, we couldn't owe ENIC 1b and have the debt of the stadium hanging over us without putting the club in trouble. if Chelsea or Man C don't win anything all they do is chuck more at the problem and have damaged football quite a bit, and makes it harder to compete.

Because of them 2 and PSG they introduced FFP which made it even harder in our old WHL

If the rumour is true that he sacked Jose because he had in his contract he and his team get a pay rise once they win a trophy then he is hilarious.

Seen someone say that if Jose won the league cup he also got a huge bonus so it is all starting to make sense now with us.

We are a business not a football clyb

One league title three FA Cups one ECWC - first double in the 20th century, first British side to win a European competition, yeah, not bad! Even in the seventies we won two League Cups and a UEFA Cup. But eh, we have a stunning stadium

if we didn't have a stunning stadium we wouldn't be able to pay players the wages we do

Improved on Sugar no doubt, but have very much been the 'close, but no cigar' owners of the Premier League. If not that, then certainly the owners of the no showers.

2002 League Cup Final: Runners-up
2008 League Cup Final: Winners
2009 League Cup Final: Runners-up
2015 League Cup Final: Runners-up
2019 Champions League Final: Runners-up
2021 League Cup Final: Runners-up

That's 6 cup finals, 1 win and 3 goals scored, yes 3 goals scored.

Seen it going around tonight, my brother told me it was in some Facebook Spurs group thing? Not sure if anyone else on here is them but apparently somebody who gets stuff right a lot posted it?
I'm pretty sure Whatsapp groups and Facebook groups has already like 10 different conspiracy theories why Jose was sacked by Levy to save money

Levy and ENIC completely sum us up as a club for the last 20 years.

They do so much right, there’s a lot to admire but ultimately always fall short in the end.

They have built truly world class foundations for us, made us CL regulars for a while and eventually found us what seemed like the missing piece with Poch. Then it all went to shit, like they did all the hard work and then at the final hurdle, fucked it.

Nothing will change whilst they’re here unfortunately.

Levy did it because it was probably cheaper to sack him before the final, than after it, if we won. I say probably, I mean definitely!

And no goals in the last 4 of those
