yep, don’t think Levy likes fan pressure. He will act if we do I just don’t know how he will act, my guess would be hire Poch and throw a bone.

The last straw for some was the failure to back Pochettino properly.
The last straw for others was bringing Mourinho in.
The last straw for others still was the sacrifice of a cup to save a few million on Mourinho's sacking.
The last straw for others still was the shambles that led to Nuno coming in.
And if Conte goes, with Levy having failed to back him adequately, then that will be the last straw for a fair number of the rest, me included.

But what then?

Surely, he'll bring Poch back, as you say. But let's say Pochettino fails, or he fails to back Pochettino properly, or the DOF and Pochettino don't get on, what then? Where else can Levy go? He can't bring back a favoured son, because that will have failed. He won't be able to appoint a winner because we all know winners don't win under Levy. He can't appoint yet another project manager. Surely, that will have to be curtains for him.

If Levy's half as astute as he thinks he is, he'll realise rehiring Poch is the last chance saloon. In which case, why rush into it? Why not just back Conte and give himself a bit longer before we have to crack open the boxes of torches and pitchforks. Who knows, if he backs Conte, Spurs might actually win something and then we'll be able to put the effigies back into storage. It's not as if they take up much room anyway.

Levy out
Enic out (as I'd still think Levy would have a say even if booted)
Conte - He should be doing better. It's not all lack of investment Villa comprehensively outplayed is at home. In fact most teams outplay is right now.
Sigh

Wasn’t Conte last chance saloon. Levy should have hitched a ride to the exit a long time ago. So many awful errors. The most horrific of which in my book is the fact he has completely f***** up prime years of Kane, a generational talent. A world class striker and he still manages to f*** it all up. Surrounding him with shite, manager fiascos. Poor recruiting/ no recruiting at all, an utter scatter gun approach, no plan all reactionary to his latest f*** up ….. it almost looks like he has no idea what he is doing …..

The focus of any fans vitriol needs to be aimed at Levy. Enic are going nowhere, but it's possible Levy could be pushed, be it sideways, or out the door.
Happy for ENIC to move him sideways and hand the budget to Paratici and Conte. The fans turning on Levy is a start today just to send that message to ENIC. Otherwise Levy changes manager again and the cycle continues.

I haven’t heard a number but enough snippets to know we are not spending what our former top 4 rivals are this window. I don’t think there is any Club buyers waiting at the moment so I don’t see where all this ends.

I came up with this riff on the Grand Old Team song, whilst feeling utterly dispondent on my way home from the game today.

It "was" a grand old team to play for.
A grand old team to see.
And if you know Daniel Levy.
It's enough to break your heart even morrrrrrre.
He don't care what the other teams pay.
What the hell does he care.
Cos he only knows property portfolio's.
And that to do is not to dare.

It will never end, but the least we fans can do, is show our discontent to them.

Less talk more action.

Huge volume in the Conte thread which is understandable. Whilst we will have split opinions in that thread, the opinions in here should be unanimous.

Time to go Levy.

Oh imagine if we had new owners step in (not necessarily oil state owners) and state their ambitions AND follow it up with a window that screams intent.

I also feel that those stating that ENIC have backed Conte are missing the point.

It's not about backing for 1 or 2 windows it's about backing until achievements are met.

Did Klopp fix Liverpool's defensive woes in 2 windows? no

Did Klopp have to accept 'stop gaps' or 'club signings' at first? Again, no.

Same for Arteta.

Klopp got 2 or 3 significant players each window, until that starting 11 looked different to the one he found.

The club need to bring in 2-3 significant players this window so that by the end of January we are fielding Deki, Bentancur, Romero, new RWB, Perisic, new attacker, Richarlison and new CB.

Then we'll start to see Conte's ideas fulfilled and more importantly it'll be his team.
