so tomorrow im going to the spurs wigan match, my query is i have not been sent the tickets , as im aware as a bronze member we now use our cards to gain entrance, is this correct but also if it is do i just show my card at the ground to get in but then how do i know what seat im in . It might sound stupid but this is a bit of a change compared to having tickets,

Show your bronze membership card at the appropriate turnstyle and it will be swiped to show a positive credit for that match.

Once inside you should show the e-mailed confirmation of your booking (that you will have printed off) to a steward who will point you to your seat.

But go in the right turnstyle, eh PT? ;-)
Yep. Bastards are dead against nipping in to join mates at the bar before finding your own seat on the upper level lol

degoose i'd recommend getting there slightly earlier than usual incase there are problems with entry. I went to the Man City game and a lot of membership cards weren't working; people had to queue at the ticket office to get it sorted and a lot missed the start of the game.

My mate went to the Young Boys game midweek and said he missed the first 10 minutes due to queues because of the new system.

I don't like these new card scanners. Before the Young Boys game, I got stuck behind someone in the queue for South Stand Upper because there was a problem with his card.

And rather than taking the guy to the side to figure out the problem, they kept him at the turnstile, blocking the rest of us (must have been a couple hundred or so) so we couldn't get in. I was right behind the guy so I only ended up missing the first minute or so, but there were still a lot people coming in fifteen minutes or so late, missing the first goal.

All because of one faulty card.

Print off the confirmation, having moved the e-mail in to a folder to store ALL your acquisitions over the forthcoming years. You can then tot up in ten years time the amount you contributed towards building The Wall.

I don't plan on printing my email - Do you think just showing the email on my phone is OK with the stewards?

My friend is a season ticket holder but has a place in a box tomorrow. CAn she give her ticket to a male friend? Will they spot the difference and will they mind? He is not a very female looking guy - I think they will be able to tell the difference - especially as he is bald - but will they care?

Only spurs could come up with a new system that's even slower than the fucking old system. The card reader was taking 4 swipes to read every card on Wednesday, as a result I missed Crouchy's first.

We turned up at 7.40pm due to crappy traffic and the queue to get into South Upper was worse than usual (always is bad to get in). People were getting peed off (understandably) and then police arrived with horses etc. Didn't get to our seats till nearly 5 past 8 so missed about 20 mins! SO annoying and typical Spurs!!!!

How annoying! I had assumed that the card reader thing would mean we just swiped our own cards - thus speeding up the process. In fact the opposite was true. :-|

There was a few issues on Saturday too! I went in about 3/4 mins before husband (having his last cigarette) but got stuck behind someone who's card wasn't reading. Husband got in before me and was laughing at me when I finally got in. If this continues it's going to get bloody annoying!!!!!

its very typical spurs... we've bought HALF a system.

They have similar systems in many grounds around the country - and they work perfectly, but - at them grounds you swipe your own card. No idea why this isnt the case at WHL.. its only a case of bolting the thing to a bloody wall.

You are right, but if they're knocking the whole place down in a few years then there's not much point in investing in a new entrance system that's only going to be used for a couple of seasons.

I'd be interested to know whether the other clubs that use this entry method also had teething problems for the first few games. Remember we've only had 3 home games so far and when there are members who don't go to every game it might be a while until every card has been tested.

thats the problem - they have invested in half a new entrance system.. i dont see the point in them doing it at all.. stick with tickets for 2 / 3 for years and introduce it at the new stadium, but if they are going to do it, they should do it properly. I dread to think how much money they have wasted on this system - if it was fully installed there would be a payback period, as they would be saving on labour - but as it is, its pure outlay with no payback.

You would think though, that considering we are not the first club (by a long shot) to implement this technology, then teething issues should have been ironed out by the company we buy the product from.
